Why doesn't riot just Ip ban tyler1 so that he can't be toxic to the community in high diamond

- They are extremely easy to circumvent if the person being IP banned is computer literate
- They have the potential to wipe out entire buildings or even entire college campuses depending on infrastructure

Xenos111116 votesIf it was just for being toxic people wouldn't have kept watching him. He was entertaining as a streamer regardless of being toxic or not, it's just that most people found out about his stream because of his toxicity (mainly the Disco Heat video).

Xenos111112 votesWell he's not still allowed to play, Riot will permaban any account if they can 100% verify that Tyler1 is using it. That basically means he can still play, just not on stream.
I actually find his Outlast stream just as entertaining (if not more) than his League streaming was, and he can't be toxic to people on it.

Slammergizer1 votesIf they ip ban him, it won't just ban him. It'll ban everyone at his collage from playing which isn't fair to them. Plus, he could just make new accounts and play other places, on other peoples computers.

I mean, permanent bans are meant to be permanent to the person, it's just the account is the closest proxy they can get. If they start insta-banning him every time he streams, he'll stop playing (as odds are he won't just stop streaming).

What's the difference between a permanent ban to an account, or simply reverting the account to be a brand new account? The intent behind it - a permanent ban is because the player has done something that the game's owners don't believe is acceptable or reform-able and they no longer want that individual playing that game. An account revert would be a punishment for bad behavior. Otherwise, the punishments are effectively identical.
The unfortunate reality is that in an online world you can't permanently ban an individual person because you can't reliably identify them. So the best they can do is ban the account.
Players that proceed to make other accounts and continue to play on them after permanent bans are simply taking advantage of this circumvention. It's not Riot's intention to let these players return to the game and abuse even more people. If they were okay with them continuing to play, they wouldn't have permanently banned them in the first place.
Zerfallen2 votesI think you are wrong here. Otherwise, in the countless threads that Rhojin and others have replied to, it would have been mentioned. Remember even the wording of the ToU states that it is an account "suspension", not a player ban.
Hell, even this guy's other accounts weren't banned and he was threatening to troll/flame/feed as retaliation for his main account being banned.
Your logic =/= the reality nor does it seem to follow Riot's own implied stance.

An exception to the norm is welcome here. He had like ~18 accounts that got permabanned prior to this.
