Champ Select Reporting

Ch1mes··26 votes·8,836 views

I am just wondering if there is a way to report people for what they say/do in champ select, or if it is only possible after game. I just had a champ select where a player called me an n'er roughly 15 times in champ select because I would not dodge for his friend. Why are we not able to report stuff like this?

PS: Just because my name is douchecanoe does not mean i am one ;)

Report it after the game in post-game.

What if someone dodges because they don't want to play with a toxic %&^%#%(%)~! Then we can't report them through the client.

There isn't always a post-game. He was harassing the team to get someone to dodge. So this person will pretty much get away without punishment.

I hear what you're saying, and this is a problem that is on our radar.

EDIT: grammar!

I've heard stuff like that for years from riot. What I don't see is results.

Okay but what are you at Riot actually doing or plan on doing about it? Believe it or not, there are some fked up people that enjoy their little psychological game of how many times they can get people to dodge in champion select. (Or just really tilted people).

Editing for grammar... Your better then this.

Ya sorry I should have mentioned that. The person dodged before the game started so there was no way of reporting them.

im pretty sure you can also send in a ticket but idk

Actually no, if you do that riot shadow flags your account for worse matches for wasting their staffs time.

DepressedAhri2 votes

That isn't true lol, but Riot does not accept screenshot reports and ticket reports because it is easy to photoshop chat logs. This is actual information I've seen a rioter post before.

I've heard rumors that the pre-game lobby isn't even recorded by Riot, so it would pretty hard to report to report anything there.

RiotRiot Tantram13 votes

I can put that rumor to rest right now.

It's recorded.

Ty for this information

what's more amazing is the fact that in order to do that, you have to play an entire game with the toxic a hole. Which can in turn make you lose ranking and points, as well as not having a fun experience.. Hell, it can even get to the point that this toxic person can make you mentally break.

I bet you 7 out of 10 people punished in the "behavior" system are those that finally snapped when provoked by someone who's been constantly toxic for the majority of his last few games. Muting doesn't really work as you can still see pings from them as well as being the victim of their, more than likely, intentional feeding.

But sure, go ahead and keep punishing smite nunu supports..

Report it after the game in post-game.

When if the enemy team dodged and you cant report them?

Legitimately cannot believe you've said this. This is the stuff that makes people think Riot is clueless.

I wanted to test this out to see if it worked. On a new account i spammed swear words at my team post game till they said theyd report me. After doing it about 10 times with 3 times getting reported 9 times (or so they say), i never got banned.

Once i did it get banned, it never showed the swear words i posted post game in the chat logs. Does the report system even record the post-game messages?

Found this post via a link. What about players talking (extreme) trash talk in the post game lobby? Is this reportable/logged? There's alot of this.

You can check my last game if you want. A player by <name removed> sounded off to me. Sounding off is kinda putting it lightly too.

Both pre and post game chat are recorded. They aren't looked at initially by the Instant Feedback System, but Riot does have records of them and can pull them if needed when reviewing a player. So yes, it is reportable, just make sure that you specify that you are reporting for pre/post game chat.

With that said, as per the Universal Rules, we do not allow "Naming and Shaming" here on the boards, so I've gone ahead and removed the summoner name from your comment.

It's tuff cuz you pretty much have to be recording your Champ select and send that to Support ticket to do anything.
