Climbing the honor ladder from the bottom

So, I got banned during preseason I believe for spamming "?" in chat with my friends and someone on the enemy team reported me and I got immediately banned for 2 weeks. This was a first offense and I got no warning. I have been playing every day and getting honored almost every single game at least once. I am still at honor 0 checking point 2. At this rate it would take half a year to get to honor 1. And only god knows how much longer it would take to get to honor 2. I don't think I have ever really gotten reported since this happened and yet I am getting nowhere. I really hope that Riot will fix this. I know recently they supposedly made it easier but I don't feel it whatsoever. I feel like if you get banned its bad enough that you can't play for 2 weeks and worse you can't open any chests for say a year at this rate.

I agree with this, my main got a chat ban and went down to honor level 0 which im not saying is wrong because i was tilted and got toxic, i understood and i took the punishment without whining about a chat ban, however i also put 100+ games into that account and had gotten honored at least every other game and barely made it to level 1. It took way to long and i think they need to shorten it because at the rate i played my honor wouldve gotten reset to 0 by the time the season ended.

this same thing happened to me. i was honor level 4 last summer and had a bad game and got banned from chat for awhile. when i came back on i was all the way down to honor level 0.... from level 4. cuz i got reported in 1 game... first off that alone is totally ridiculous to drop 4 honor levels cuz of 1 bad game. second, the climb back up has been excruciatingly slow. im finally at honor level 1 again after at least 6 months, and its nice to get a key frag once in awhile as i have 12 chests to open but with how hard S rank is to get this season it wont be long before i dont have any chests.

i just think the punishment is extremely severe and the climb back takes way too long. it would be one thing if i was toxic every few games but ive been honored nearly every game
