Wrongfully Banned
Received an email saying I was banned for MMR boosting. I created this account last year but only start playing in February of 2015. At that point I leveled from 1-30, reaching 30 around the summer time. I used to play DOTA2 so it was easy to pick up LoL. I played my provisionals and got placed in gold. Soon after, I just played Normals with friends for a couple months to now. I have never played anyone else's account or had someone play my account. In total I've only played 26 ranked games on this account as I don't like ranked play if I can only play with 1 friend. That's why I was waiting till the new season so I can queue ranked with 2 of my friends.
I don't think the punishment is harsh regarding MMR boosting as long as I have actually MMR boosted. The problem is I have never done it. Quite frankly I didn't even know what it meant until I got the suspension today... I put in a support ticket but the only response was basically restating what the suspension was for with the phrase "after extensive investigation".
I have spoken with a friends and they mentioned if you log into your account from multiple IPs then it will be considered MMR Boosting. I go to university and I've played LoL at home and on campus so of course I will have logged in from multiple IPs. I have also taken my laptop to Canada when I visit friends and played there as well. I don't understand the multiple IP concept behind MMR boosting.
The email also said if I MMR boost in the future, I will be permanently banned. If I was suspended this time when I haven't actually done anything wrong, what if it happens again? I have spent too much money this past year on Riot Points purchasing all the champions and a few skins.
I would appreciate some further investigation on my situation.
Thanks, Joseph
