So I've heard a lot about toxicity...

Hey guys,

So I've just started playing LoL. I'm pretty new to the moba scene in general, my first moba was Heroes of the Storm. After a while HotS felt incredibly casual, it was all a clusterfuck-teamfight-fest the entire game, so I moved to Dota 2. Dota 2 was fun, but incredibly slow and I felt like all the heroes were beyond boring. So I moved to LoL and, in my opinion, it is the better out of the three. I seriously enjoy the game. The MAJOR plus for me are the heroes though. God, they are beyond varied and incredibly unique (Outside of a few exceptions - Ashe).

So my first two weeks were great!

Tonight though, I had my first 'really' bad experience in LoL. Four out of the five games I have played tonight all ended at 20mins exactly due to trolls and several afk members who rage quit after ONE death?! WTF?! You will always have that odd game that has the most challenged of individuals on your team, but five times in a row??

Now I hate toxic players. I dislike flamers, ragers and trolls (Top or troll! - O.o) but I can see why some 'vets' flame! When you rely on your whole team to perform for a win (There is the odd time that you don't need all five to perform) it can induce feelings of rage when they just disregard everyone and just... I dunno what they're trying to do most of the time :/.

I'm not the most gifted and talented person when it comes to mobas, I still have 10more losses than wins atm, but I do feel like I can hold my own and adapt as the current match requires.

I guess this is just a rant, but man, it was just rough. If you party up, then there is almost never instance where raging is necessary, but solo queue? Solo queue is a different experience entirely >.<.

Anywho. I plan to stay for a long time to come, I do enjoy this game and Shen is just an absolute BLAST to play as.

It only gets worse. Ragers, flamers, children spamming racial slurs. I wouldn't recommend continuing to play the game.

Generally speaking, the <30 levels are not really full fledged League players and are not good examples of the typical LoL player. Some of them are salty smurfs that have been banned for crappy behavior and they'll probably get banned again for being toxic.

Don't take the game too seriously and have fun when you can.

Went back and played a HotS match in ranked a few days ago. My eyes were glazed over the entire time, there was nothing engaging about it at all. Then I was left dumbfounded when we won a little over fifteen minutes in. And I had sucked major ass at Heroes before I picked up League. The downgrade is real.
