LeaveBuster awesome idea

Ok riot, i got an awesome idea for ya. I wanted to say that I totally agree with the idea. im sick of people leaving in the middle of game, and Im sick of people disconnecting at the begging of game because they forgot they had a game loading, started eating or whatever. Its the perfect punishment... because there are so many instances that validate being afk (emergency, your mom (if your a young one) saying "suppers ready and i swear to god if u dont get here now" when she never told u she was cooking or whatever... i get it, sometimes there are circumstances that allow leaving. these are few and far between however, so a ban isnt necessary in my favor... personally i think the leave buster idea is more of a poetic justice.

HOWEVER! Your new automated system, targets those who shouldn't be. Lets face it RIOT, your servers are probably worse than North Koreans. Honestly... I have personally had times where I DCED from a game because i lost internet.... from a LAN connection, and my laptop was still on wifi... makes no sense. How many times have you other players DCed during loading screen (everyone of us i bet). I admit, DCing in game is rare, and is probably most of the time, due to the own users fault. However, i specifically remember one time i DCed and RIOT even claimed it knew about a problem. during this DC and problem i was unable to reconnect to the client for the rest of the day. After that day i played a few games, and lo and behold, lagged during my loading screen. i disconnected from client and restarted as fast as i could, and entered shortly after minions spawned, still counted towards my Leave Buster. So here is the kicker, i make it through my leave buster, get that "attempting to reconnect" screen... now we all have this moment of panic... do we wait, do we DC to try and reconnect faster? well i waited a little bit (now mind you our team was slightly ahead, but was still towards end of game)... but it became evident there was no way... so i DCed, tried to restart client... had to restart router (heres the other kicker, ive left my laptop on since this happened to test, and while my LAN connection fails sometimes with league, my laptop still had wifi with the same router. now i imagine its because windows 7 is getting old, and they are having more and more compatibility issues with it). restarted router, reentered game, and our team still won. I REENTERED LEAVE BUSTERS AFTER LIKE 2 GAMES AND A WHOLE LEAVE BUSTER QUE OF NO ISSUES!

Now the other argument is "BLABALABALABALA" your internet connection its your fault or whatever... but you know what, i have pretty good internet connection, and play a lot more intensive online games and never have this kind of trouble. NEVER. I can probably count the amount of times ive DCed from a Battlefield 4 game on my fingers. its much more likely to happen while trying to enter game mind you, but i honestly cant remember the last time i DCed in the middle of game... Also, my internet has almost never, ALMOST Never given me problems on any other online game while im in the middle of it (we all have internet issues, but honestly, when was the last time any normal person has had it happen mid game, esp if you know what your doing)

Change your leave buster system. I think you should keep it. maybe count games that people dont reconnect to against them regardless, but if there is a re-connection it, in most cases, shouldn't be held against them. I understand this can be abused. players could find out the time you need to reconnect and do so properly and so forth, But you know what, REGARDLESS THE PERSON WHO DCs BEFORE MINIONS SPAWN AND RECONNECTS BEFORE OR WITHIN A MINUTE OF THEIR SPAWNING SHOULD NOT BE HELP ACCOUNTABLE... furthermore, if a player DCs late game, if they reconect in IDK maybe 5 minutes, you should have some kind of report system instead of auto counting it against them. In most cases, im perfectly ok with a DC late game, and then shortly after they reconnect and say "OMG SORRY INTERNET OR RIOT PROBLEMS OR WHATEVER"

In conclusion. I totally understand that if you have terrible internet connection issues, you shouldnt play league. but you know what riot... i hardly ever have issues with your servers and connections... sometimes i do. but there are times that i do, when it happens a lot, and its your fault. You as a company should do a better job of differentiating those who have connection issues due to your end (I SPECIFICALLY HAD A CONNECTION ISSUE AND DCED WHILE UR COMPANY ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM AND IT STILL COUNTED AGAINST ME). Honestly, i think this new system, while is still punishing those who deserve it, is targeting a lot of players who dont due to connection issues caused by your company

I also just wanted to add that ive read a lot of posts about Leave busters, and it seems like there are some situations close to mine, but im not even talking about the random issue where you DC for 10, 20 minutes, and reconnect, im talking about those times your loading screen is fucked, so you DC to quicly log back in before minions spawn and its counted against you because you "left game". HEY RIOT, ENGINEERS HAVE THIS BRILLIANT IDEA OF UNPLUGGING AND PLUGGING BACK IN AND IT WORKS, ITS THE SAME IDEA.

Anyway, i think you should have your automated system to help take the workload off banning, but i think you should have some kind of report related implementation like EVERY OTHER RULE for the other circumstances. Obviously if the DC and never return, then yea fine auto add that against them.

FIX YOUR SERVERS RIOT IM NOT THE ONLY ONE
