I think the toxic players should never be perma banned, but just to be perma muted, a.k.a not being able to talk ever again.

Heya Banned,

What purpose would that solve to have a toxic player be perma muted instead of perma banned? If the person is intentionally feeding or ruining games without using the chat feature - how would a perma mute solve the problem?

You wanted to create a blanket policy that affects all players. However, Chermorg is correct in Riot's policy on the matter. People are given lots of chances (10 day chat restriction, 25 day chat restriction, 14 day suspension, and permanent ban), so when someone reaches the point of a permanent ban - they have had plenty of time to reform and they choose not to.

What good does muting and reporting do, you dont even get notified if that person is banned or not, most likely not because you got banned first because you flamed them too

I take it this is another account? If so, players can skip punishment tiers depending on how toxic their gameplay was.

Well for one. There is less incentives for them to make a new account. Keeping them ouf of low level games

Riot has tried this type of thing in the past and it just led to people being toxic in other ways. People who were issued this style of punishment just became toxic in harder ways to detect.

Furthermore, Riot has expressed that they do not wish to permamute people because a) they give enough chances to reform already, and if someone's still toxic they don't want them in the game, and b) communication is a vital part of League, and "perma mute" would give people an excuse to not communicate.

Trolling or toxicity? It really isn't hard to get perma banned. After you get a 14 day ban you practically need to shut your mouth to keep on playing the game. After a 14 day ban whats the point of talking if anything you say has a risk of getting you banned? You must be really lucky if you don't have one person thats feeding or trash talking.

A negative attitude is a negative attitude. People who express negative chat are 99% of the time not just negative in chat, but it's a systemic negative attitude they have. Banning them from chat, meaning they can no longer get their satisfaction from chat, they can and will find other ways to continue to be negative.

Riot has tried things other than permanent bans. None of them worked.

If they still do toxic shit after a perma-mute, then that person really needs to chill. A perma mute is supposed to be something for TOXIC players, not trollers. They know they can troll, they could've just done that in the first place.

Theres a reason if the perma mute system exists, then they got perma muted for a reason, not beacuse they were trolling.

Toxic players are negative, but still want to win usually.

If they get perma muted and want to be negative/toxic, they'll just troll. Regardless of what you say, that's what Riot found when they tried things like this.

You know, not all toxic players troll. As I said, they should've trolled in the first place instead of being toxic. If they're feeding, then perma ban them, because at least the toxic players aren't feeders that leave and afk every single time they dont get their lane or someone bans their champ.

I'm saying that when Riot tried this before, they found that a overly large number of players who were issued this style of punishment just resorted to trolling, intentionally feeding, ping spamming, etc.

Look on these boards. A simple search before posting (a simple courtesy if not rule/requirement on most internet forums) would have revealed these. If I wasn't on a mobile device right now I'd find the posts, but they aren't too hard to find on here.
