The report system

So I need help understanding how the report system works because apparently a person can get away with calling someone trash/bad repeatedly and laugh about getting reported and they do not get punished. I have reported so many people that verbally abuse and harass other players but nothing comes from it. From what I understand the only way to get banned is to say racial and homophobic slurs. The only thing that works is ignoring and muting those people. Why does it seem that way?

Take a look at the rest of the PB board if you ever feel like the system isn't working

It's not that they don't get punished, it's that being kind of rude sometimes isn't justification for a punishment; if that is normal behavior for them in their games, then they'll end up being chat restricted or eventually banned. Try not to let their behavior affect your game, Mute them and report it, and if they keep it up your report will help.

Because sadly, that's how it is. Additionally, recently I've been seeing people that start extremely severe toxicity already in champ select, then reduce to minor toxicity in-game and then back again to severe toxicity in post-game (including racial slurs, death wishes, cancer wishes and so on) and they still play to this day, despite me personally sending a support ticket regarding some of them and specifically including how severe their toxicity was in pre-game and post-game chats.

So yeah, apparently the system can be easily abused.

The system works pretty decently. It just doesn't always alert you that a ban has happen. You only get the alert if you are the LAST person to report them before the ban.

Not true, but I'll say the best thing is to ignore them and put constraints on yourself, this is the point a lot of people lose it.

Why does anyone care about "if" the reports end in a suspension ??

Personally, I've been against that policy since it was mentioned. If Anyone feels the need to report something then Do so, but not out of spite.

Thanks guys I appreciate your responses. I have been working on muting players and ignoring the toxicity. I really do try but it's apart of me to defend others myself. It's report out of spite. I believe in justice and people being reprimanded for bullying others.
