So I was unfairly banned for 14 days. This automatic tribunal punishment system Riot has created is simply ridiculous. I'm posting my chat log so you can see for yourselves. This is getting out of hand, everything you say needs to be censored to such an extreme that it's not fair or fun anymore. This is a video game and you simply can't be so touchy with what people say or you shouldn't be playing online. The best online games are the ones where you are free to express yourself and curse and rage if you have to, everyone does it. But to go to this extreme to censor players and take away all the hours and money they have put onto this game is unfair and underhanded. Tribunal should be toned down and fixed ASAP in my opinion. What do you guys think? I welcome all comments.

Yup, we lost that game. My mid laner and bot were feeding uncontrollably and on purpose to throw the game because they were spamming FF and running into their team repeatedly. Did they get banned? Probably not.. but that's not the point. I want to know what you guys think about the fairness that the carry of the team got banned for trying hard and being mad at feeders based on this chat log.

yes i kinda feel you. but riot gives you enough chances, i saw some chatlogs where i'd say permaban right away and not 10 game CR. those ppl should be glad but no they keep their toxic behavior up OVER A REALLY LONG TIME and if you dont learn well too bad gtfo.

I understand the system. But that's why you need to take into account the context before you hand out severe punishments which the system does not. The people who reported me were just reporting me to get back at me for asking my team to report them for feeding and spamming which they really did. If you read the chat you can see that what I said does not warrant a 14 DAY SUSPENSION. This game was a nightmare and I did my best to win while putting up with the feeders who were provoking me and spamming FF. If you look at it from my side, you can see that Automatic bans "for any situation" are not proportional to the offense and punish unfairly the players who are carrying and actually trying to win instead of the trolls.

asking to report is against the rules and in most chatlogs i see here on the boards ppl also ask to report. so yea you opened yourself up to reports.

It's hard to get banned. To get punished for this, it would mean you are consistently negative and have already received chat restrictions prior to this. In extreme cases such as the use of hate speech and death threats, they may skip multiple punishment tiers for few or single offenses. Tiers are as follows;

10 game chat restriction
25 game chat restriction
14 day account ban
Permanent account ban

It takes 3 months for your punishment tier to drop 1 step. If you continue this behavior when your ban is over, you'll just be given a permaban. Asking to report or threatening to report a player is harassment and not tolerated, and calling your teammates stupid and constantly berating them for their actions is also unsportsmanlike conduct that may get you punished.

There is something fundamentally wrong when you get punished for simply asking your team to help you report someone who ruined your game. Also, it doesn't make sense that constantly berating trolls for their actions is unsportsmanlike when their actions are "throwing the game on purpose". Same punishment for everyone when some deserve it and some don't ... is not the way to go. That's why this system is broken.

There is nothing broken or fundamentally wrong here.

How exactly are you helping by making accusations and threatening people with reports? It never improves the situation, and almost always escalates it instead. This isn't even taking into consideration whether they deserve a report; it doesn't matter if they do or do not, they have the same rights as you do to not have to put up with that harassment.

None of that gets them punished faster, either. Punishment is calculated per match, not per report, so lobbying to mass report a player only causes harm. Your one report is plenty, and if other people feel that it's a reportable offense then they can make that decision on their own.

Some people don't pay attention to what is going on the map. Pointing out what trolls are doing and asking for their report one time, not spamming it, should be OK. And let me get this straight if someone is trolling and feeding and you ask for their report that is considered harassment?? The logic is good if you generalize it, but we are talking about people who are so bent on losing already they are feeding and spamming FF. This system does not take into account the players situation or context and bans indiscriminately, that is the real problem here.

Look, if you want unnecessary support for your report, save it for the end game lobby. People are moody and you need to understand that and show them decency. Dragging them down does nothing but make your game worse off. Based upon your statements thus far, and your rather asinine poll options, you are the kind of player that doesn't deserve to win on the grounds of behavior alone. If I were a jungler or mid in one of your games, based on your chat log, I would demand apologies or I abandon your lane to what happens to it. And yes that is aggressive and potentially punishes the 3 other members of the team, but you are the kind of which I would rather not help win.

"please report this botlane" asking/announcing to report only adds a toxic flavor to the game and thus is toxic and against the rules (and not often the main reason for a ban)
you keep picking on your mates for how bad they are. do you want a player in your team that only says "man you suck... YOU ARE SO BAD... HOLY SHIT WTF HOW CAN YOU BE SO FUCKING BAD UNINSTALL PLS???" nobody wants someone like this

Point number 1. Adding toxic "flavor" would be feeding on purpose which was what they were doing, spamming FF and being actually toxic.

Point number 2 would be true except for the fact that I actually did not say all those bad things. Read the chat log again.

Point number 3. They had a good season they just played bad comps against a super tanky malkai.

the eason is bo1's you play 1 game thats it. bo3 and bo5 is a whole different story. they also had a great season in eu, great grouphase in worlds and still got crushed in semi finals. tilt in bo3/5 as i said.

I went through the whole chat again. Now, here is the truth: I said stupid and noob. I said those 2 WORDS separately and literally ONLY **ONE TIME ** throughout the whole 40+ min game while they were trolling and feeding on purpose. I was BANNED for 14 days? You probably think it's OK because it hasn't happened to you yet but I repeat that this system has become this crazy banning machine that is **completely ** broken and it needs to change.

Report calling/ begging is considered toxic.

Reports do not lead directly to punishment. They lead to a review of the match for the player being reported. 9 reports are no different than 1 report, it just flags the match for review.

You don't need to ask others to report, because yours is all that is needed to get a match review for the reported player.

Report begging does nothing, and causes the accused to further tilt and potentially ruining the match for everyone else.

I think this chat log is punish worthy.

This a good example of what the banning system has become. It punishes people who are trying to win while the trolls and the feeders go free. Nobody listens or wants to understand the full context before handing out the punishment. Superficial evidence and taking words out of context are enough to ban people who have spent their money and time to level his account. It's disappointing to see all the apathetic people that support this broken system.
