The whole punishment thing.

So I think that Riot should alter their Punishment Milestone. Now it's Restrictions -> Restrictions -> 2 Week Ban -> Perma Ban. I've gotten one account banned because a lot of people can't take criticism, sure I do say something rude once in a while a few times, but that's nothing to lose your shit over and report people because you're weak and sensitive to words. People literally can't accept any criticism without them having the urge to report and deport you. You try to help people by recommending them to buy certain items or to come to certain needed locations at a certain time and some people tend to simple ignore that and be rude or go feeding, which is quite annoying. You can't even tell your teammates to play def instead of pushing and feeding, almost looking intentional to fuck with you. So at this point a lot of people have said shit to such players and maybe to players who starts shit talking you and your team, you might reply in a similar manner yes, and I understand the chat restrictions you may get if you talk a bit of shit, but then even if you continue to play your games normally and end up giving a few rude words to someone you may get a restriction again, and after that, even if after a year, you you talk a little bit of crap to someone and they'll report you coz they they're weak and can't handle a few words, guess what, you'll get the 2 week ban now. Literally just for something you might have said in a short conversation in a game while you had the time to actually write something. I'd understand if you get the ban punishments if you've been trolling, feeding, ruining peoples games and fucking everything up, and MAYBE talking a LOT of bullshit to players, but I don't think that that people should get ban punishments for a few minimal shit talk games. I think the regular milestone should be Chat Restriction (for LOTS of trash talking and/or very negative gameplay behavior) -> 1 week ban (For SHIT TON of trash talking and negative gameplay behavior) -> 2 week ban (Very negative gameplay behavior/trolling/feeding/etc.) -> Perma Ban (Same as 2 week ban but has to involve you being the worst person ever and there would be a certain vote.)

First time writing in forums. Just wondering what people think, coz I do tend to sometimes say a few rude things, but I honestly don't think it's a big deal or a deal at all that requires any punishment.

The current punishment system only encourages revenge reporting and little else.

These are big issues in the game:

  • Banned players like myself can make a new account and get it level 30 in under a week for under $20.

  • Games are stressful and mean way too much. Games are also very long.

  • You can't permanently mute anyone nor ensure you won't play with them again.

  • Reports are free and you can report up for 3 different things and you could throw out a maximum of 27 reports a game.

  • Chat has no purpose. You can't type and play. It just becomes a vehicle to release stress.

  • The playerbase, especially this forum with the RBSC(Rito Butt Slappers Club) is mostly made up of teenagers who have nothing better to do than harass people.

  • Rito doesn't take context of a situation into play. You get a death threat and get harassed by 4 members of the team? You say something like "you guys are mean" and the reports you received are now justified.

I strongly suggest you say nothing in chat that could possibly be taken as offensive or rude. I received a two week ban recently with the worst thing I said in chat being that my allies purchased their accounts or got boosted. Mind you I did not receive any warning or chat restriction beforehand. So telling your team mates that you feel they could not have made it to plat/diamond by themselves is deserving of an immediate jump to a two week ban with no warning whatsoever. I would be VERY careful about what you say in league chat. I consider myself lucky they didn't jump straight to a perma ban. Riot is out of control.
