Don't Think This Deserves A Perma-ban

Pretty much, I queued up for a ranked game, and two people were premade, a guy who was given top and another one who was autofilled support and wanted to jungle. Obviously, instead of them politely asking to swap, so that the guy autofilled could go jungle (which I didn't have a problem of doing because I was feeling good and generous that day), they decide to instead ban my lee sin, tell me that the other guy is way, way better than me at jungle, and how bad I am without ever seeing me play before, or even having time to look me up at op.gg. The guy was also shadowing Kayn without me giving him the role, however he didn't pick him in the end and instead picked thresh because the other team picked Kayn. So, no, clearly I didn't give up jungle, because you simply don't do that to someone who does that to you. So, in-game they intentionally fed (combined score of 2/17), continuously flamed me, and to top it all off, told the enemy team to report me (BTW love how they are not getting banned for all this, it's simply whoever gets reported the most that gets banned with the current system). I was a bit toxic here and there but nothing too much, the worse thing I did was call Garen a "dumbass" after he tried telling me he didn't know I was gonna play lee, even though he did it because he didn't want me to jungle, he wanted to annoy me and have to give up my role and besides, it says it anyway that a teammate has chosen that champion, but then he also said "what's wrong with banning lee". However, besides that I had used chat normally for the most part, and what I said doesn't compare to what they did. I feel as if I was victimized. Even our midlaner Fizz, who was nice throughout the game I think got banned since he hasn't played since that game. I think that's because like me, he was harassed and then the duo simply said to report him in all chat. Anyway, I will post my chat logs below, but Riot if you are reading this, please give me one more chance to prove to you that I will refrain from bad behavior and that I will never again misuse chat. After all, this was my second ever game in which I "crossed the line", as I did receive a two week ban 3-4 moths back, which I cannot argue about as I feel like I deserved that, and truly feel bad. However, I have played over 2000 games and I have only shown bad behavior in two of them. I do not think that calls for a permanent suspension. Did you have a 14 day ban before? If yes then its justified. Calling out others scores when they arent doing well, calling other guy autistic calling your team shit.

  1. It's not that they weren't doing well, it's that they weren't doing well on purpose; as I mentioned the feed was intentional.
  2. Idk if you saw it but I added a comment that explained why I said that thing about autism. Here it is copied/pasted: I forgot to mention, when I said "'is this the part where i say he's autistic'", I quoted Garen because whenever me and the Fizz would try to defend ourselves in all Chat, Garen would always say "Don't listen to him, he's austistic" or "He doesn't know what he's saying, he's retarded", so I sorta said that as a joke to break the ice and try to cool things down, and it worked for a bit but then we kept getting flamed :(
  3. Yeah I know I called my team shit, and that that was a big mistake. I just said what was on my mind when the enemy team started flaming our team for how bad we were. Although, I agree with you, I shouldn't have said that.
  4. Yes, I did have a 14d ban before, however I had received no chat restrictions prior to that, and the 14 day ban came after one game, like the permanent one did too. I really feel like playing over 2000 games and only overreacting in chat in 2 of them is not enough for a permanent suspension. Besides, I understand the punishment is for me to lose everything I've worked for (and payed for), but I did promise I would never create issues again in chat and I am going to keep my word if I am only given a third and final chance. I have a new mindset now from what has happened. PS: There was a 3-4 month difference between the 2 week ban and the permanent suspension.

  1. Retaliation is in no way better than initiating toxicity.
  2. Repeating unacceptable stuff to use it against others isnt really great behaviour, just mute. Fighting fire with fire leads you knowwhere.
  3. Cr can be skipped in cases of racism/hatespeech/homophobia/telling people to harm themselfs. It needs strong stuff to skip. After you get the 14 day ban the prior punishment history doesnt really matter, its your last chance and says so in the message your receive with it. Everything toxic that happens after will burst the barrel and get you banned. It needs a really long time, playtime not actual time, to go down from a 14 day ban. There are no additional chances.

Source ? because it's 100% wrong dude only one report is enough to trigger the system, multiple reports are totally irrelevant otherwise premade would have an unfair advantage...

The thing is that once you've received a 14d ban, you're on thin ice and even minor toxicity can get you banned, riot is expecting you to learn from your mistakes.

Doesn't matter at all, with chat punishments, context isn't taken into account, only what you did and what you said matter. They started it first ? Doesn't matter either by replying with toxicity you're lowering yourself to their level.

Is it that hard to get that all those dudes wanted is to get you mad ? They won ! Next time just dodge or mute but don't play their game.

My source for that is that like you said "one report is enough to trigger the system", yet I reported both of them, and both of them did a lot worse things than I did. Guess what? They aren't banned according to their match histories on op.gg. What I also pointed out is that they kept on saying "report gragas" in all chat along with false information to go with it, so if premade votes only count for one, they still managed to get other people to report me (and our Fizz who actually hasn't played since that game too). Say whatever you want but no, the enemy team didn't report me or the Fizz because they thought we were toxic; it was a way of giving back for the fact that the Thresh and the Garen were int-ing and giving them a free win. Another thing I'd like to point out is that is how you said "riot is expecting you to learn from your mistakes". Sorry, but I never received any chat restricts to begin with, I got a 2 week ban, and then, after this second game where I "misused" chat, it's all gone? I've been a great customer and supporter of this game and I understand they can't simply have "toxic people" running around but come on, we all know you have 3 strikes before you're out...

How can you know it ? Maybe they got a chat restriction. Maybe they didn't used any word considered extreme toxicity, ... We only have your chat and your side of the story ( which is normal since it's your punishment ), overall what others did doesn't really matter here, if they really did worse as you said, and you reported them the right way, you can be sure it'll be taken into account, maybe not asap if they don't do it often, but the system will remember it until they'll have a sufficient history of toxicity.

Still doesn't matter at all, you can find a huge number of replies from riot support explaining that on this forum.

Did you looked at the chart ? You skip chat restrictions for extreme toxicity and a 14d ban is your last warning before a permaban.

Nobody have 3 strikes, in fact everyone have way more than that, there are 4 different punishment tiers, but it can be only 2 for extreme toxicity and you can be validly reported a huge number of time for minor toxicity without getting any punishment, it just adds up over time and nearly never trigger a punishment right away.

That's why often the game logs shown when you receive a punishment are only a small part of the story, except for extreme toxicity, there are more often than not plenty of other validly reported games that aren't shown, the ones you see are only the ones that triggered the punishment.

You knew it was your last chance because it's clearly explained on the 14 day suspension message you get when opening the launcher.

That chat simply deserves a punishment. Since you got a perma, we can assume you got a 14-day ban before meaning you didn't learn from your previous punishments.
