I was recently perma banned

I recently got perma banned and I understand what I have done and have accepted the outcome. However I was just wondering if there are any warnings before you get perma banned. I did not recieve any warnings or probations, and went straight to receiving a permanent ban. I was extremely upset because if I had gotten the slightest warning or threat of this outcome I wouldn't even use chat. I would have been so worried about losing all the work and progress that I have put into this game. In the entire 2016 year I had played over 400 games and made countless friends that I talk to on a daily bases. I'm not pleading innocence and I understand the policy completely. I am just so dissapointed in all the work and effort that I have lost. Also many people have stated that there are usually multiple game chat logs that are recorded and shown to you. I only had one. I was just puzzled that 3 years and 1000 games all just ended in a 30 minute blind pick game. If you have any answers to these questions, I would love to know. Thank you!

From the Instant Feedback System FAQ:

PUNISHMENTS GENERALLY FOLLOW A BASIC ESCALATION PATH: First Offense: 10 Game Chat Restriction Second Offense: 25 Game Chat Restriction Third Offense: Two Week Suspension Fourth Offense: Permanent Suspension

However, it is possible to skip to a Two Week or Permanent suspension based on the severity of the behavior in the game. Excessive negative behavior can result in a Two-Week or Permanent suspension at any time without having a chat restriction on the account.

WHY DID I SKIP RESTRICTIONS? We have a zero-tolerance policy for extreme negative behavior as well as extremely offensive language and remarks made in game towards other players. Since it is a severe disregard for the Summoner’s Code this sort of behavior can result in skipping to a Two week or Permanent suspension. Suspensions of this degree based on negative behavior will not likely be reduced or removed.

Some examples of behavior that can skip restrictions include hate speech, racist comments and gameplay trolling as well.

The only time it'll skip tiers is usually because you said something extremely over the line in chat. Usually hate speech, but that's not the only way for an account to be perma'd. If that's not in there then you should post the logs so that the community can take a look. The logs should be in the reform card when you log in.

If not, the year you're banned until could also help in figuring it out. certain ban codes relate to botting, scripting, a chargeback issue, etc.

I went through the same thing. Put in a support ticket if you truly believe you have been mistreated.

Riot rescinded their zero-to-permaban against me and I was very pleased, even though their handling of my case was atrocious. The draconian system should never have put someone like me through that.... however, it wouldn't be the draconian system if it wasn't draconian.

The reason I was hit with a zero-to-permaban was because of the sheer volume of reports I received rather than my actual behavior. Yes, Riot permabanned me simply because of the NUMBER OF ACCUSATIONS rather than verifying if these accusations were accurate. This was confirmed to me directly by Riot Meddler even though he didn't phrase in that way. I was furious that they would betray a loyal player in such a way.

You get multiple warnings such as chat banns, delayed queue times, filters, etc. I doubt you didn't receive any of these and just got a permanent ban.

The multiple warning system doesn't apply and instead the punishment is directly accelerated only in cases of extreme action (blatant racism, homophobia, hate speech, wishing death, etc).
