Question about ranked, help!

Hey, I just got back to playing league and during my last ranked game where I was assigned ADC, once in-game since my support picked Malphite which is considered an afk/ward in bush support (imo) I asked Yasuo if we can swap lane for the early game (10 mins or so) he accepted, anyway I got few kills on kayle and started going to all lanes, once the game is over the LP I gained was for top lane and not for ADC with a notice that scared the hell out of me! lmao

Can anyone explain what happens if I ever do the same thing again? what does deactivation of positional matchmaking mean exactly?

back in my days, even in LCS, you find some teams that decide to swap lanes bot/top, does this prevent me from playing ranked now?

I'll answer this quick before misinformation shows up. You can check the announcements for more context, but the short answer is that it is a system that is in place to prevent people from deliberately attempting to exploit matchmaking. If you are playing normally, there is nothing you should be worried about.
