Does the system catch this?

http://imgur.com/a/A4L4u I had the lucky chance to play with someone who thinks that this will avoid punishment just want to clarify. If someone afks without dc'ing and then sells every item then buys all tears and then at the end of game buys back regular builds will system notice them? Like this game wasn't a level 3 game it was a diamond 2 one. So what im getting at does the system use builds to decide if they should be punished or does it not look at them. Also if it does look at builds, does it look at all items built or end game screen items?

Probably not, because that would basically be Riot telling people how they HAVE to build.

Actually, having said that, I change my answer.

Probably so.

That's a grey area - he sold everything for tears, but switched back to a "normal" build less than 30 seconds later.

Did it put him in a worse position having less items? Sure. Is it necessarily punishable? Not necessarily by itself.

If they were "afk-moving" or "afk-farming" (performing things designed to trick system), they'll likely be detected and banned. But simply doing that isn't necessarily going to be detected or punished.

Yes, the system can notice this behavior. Selling items while not at full build and buying tears are both detectable, and noted as likely gameplay trolling. The first punishment for such an offense is a 14 day ban.

The system is intentionally tuned very lightly, but even so, we've seen posts here where a first time feeder was punished.
