Groups of 4 in League CAN be extremely toxic

I had recently experienced toxicity in NORMALS Solo Queue where I encountered a group of 4 who seemed fine in champion select. I won lane and had a decent lead but the rest of my team were not doing too great. I was blamed for not trying to defend the turret in a 3vs5 when we clearly had no chance at zoning them off I was a melee champion and with our Bard and our Lux being extremely behind. Instead of defending the turret, I thought I would take red buff quickly since I was able to take it in about 10 seconds, then our support started blaming me for not helping them defend mid even though as soon as I finished red, I went to help out our defense of the inner turret, I ended up killing one member but dying shortly after and, then, I get insulted back to back by our LeeSin and Lux, I tried to defend my actions but since there were premade I had no chance of winning the argument and shortly after we surrendered.

At this point, I was feeling so frustrated for being unfairly accused. Then the next game, I encountered them again, but this time they were my enemy. As I had expected, they started flaming me again in all chat this time, saying how I "fed" even though I had won lane last game and having my enemy laner spam their laugh emote. Building off of my tilt, I got camped by their jungler, which caused me even more frustration than I already had, thankfully I was able to compose myself doing some deep breaths and they surrendered shortly after the laning phase.

This was an overall pretty horrible experience even though I got to win a game and completed a mission because of the early surrender. A group of 4 people who would constantly bash me for something I couldn't do anything about is completely unfair. This post is not only for me but for people who have had no chance of defending themselves because their team have already seen them as the problem. I am aware that /fullmute exists but the loss of communication is not something I could just give up easily.

You aren't really losing that much communication, you can do most stuff with pings. Especially at silver. (Not to make stab at you, I am a silver player myself :))

Needless to say, you are losing nothing by muting them when they're on the enemy team.

I also recommend not playing another game if unless you have a really easy time shaking off tilt from the previous game :)

80% of chat communication in situations where people flame are going to be negatively impactful upon your own play. Just mute them, it's worth it. Even if in one game, it loses you some information. In real life, the added stress is NOT good for you physically.

Most games hardly have a word said in them except a "gj" or two anyway. Just mute. Like Hethalean says, what worthwhile chat are you going to be missing if the other 4 are clearly salty to begin with?

Of course they can be. Just like groups of 2, 3, 5, and solo players.
