Do we really need the chat system?

Hi!

I was a Leauge of Legends player once. I love the game still do today, but I can't get my self to enjoy it. I'm just getting angry when I'm playing the game. Because of the toxic behavior in the chat. This makes me sad to see, and then I hear riot say that they think that voice chat would be a thing. NOOO, you would lose the other half of the community then...

I recently played a game, the chat was extremely toxic. But I notice a positive thing the pinging system. You can do EVERYTHING with, you can ping when you spawn, want to take an objective, cooldowns, items etcetera. So, in my opinion, We don't need the chat you can get all the information with pings. We still maybe need it in Champion select because of switching roles and team comps. but in game, it's just a distraction.

Chat is nice to have. But when it detracts from the focus of the game, then it's no good. A couple lines here or there is nice. But when people are typing so much that they're not really playing, (missing CS, taking too long at base) it's pretty annoying at times.

Imo chat is nice to have but should only be used sparingly so as to not distract from the game.

I love chatting with people, speak for yourself.

If you don't like chatting with people in your games, you hae like a minute and a half at the start of every game to mute everyone.

Chat can be immensely helpful to new players, helping them learn the game. For that reason alone it would be worth keeping.

Yes, chat system is needed, if u can simply use /mute all to avoid toxicity and getting tilted

Never understood why people think we need to remove good features because they themselves are sensitive!!! Why don't YOU use the mute option?

The chat system is needed. But I do not like LOL chat I want to be able to hide LOL chat*[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]*

NOOO, you would lose the other half of the community then.

I don't think that has been the case for Dota2 & Overwatch.
