Guys I need help.. I can't control my flame, I got my self a 14 days ban and I'm not here to cry about it, because I deserved it hard.. I don't flame when someone is my team is doing bad, I don't really care if someone goes 0-10, yet I rage when I'm doing bad my self and I blame others of doing bad after my stupid mistakes..

Please Guys I really need your help.. I really want to improve my behaviour, don't want to be this type of player--

As some posts have suggested muting at the start of the game or duoing are both good ways to help you out when you start to get frustrated. There are moments when everyone gets frustrated and sometimes the need to vent in chat becomes overwhelming, though as you have experienced when you do this, you're bound to have a bad time.

The next time you find yourself becoming frustrated during a game, try taking a few deep breaths, or try venting your frustration verbally. That way nobody in game will see your frustration, allowing you to vent and not received reports for creating a negative experience in games.

There are also things you can do after a frustrating game to reduce the chance you go into your next game angry. Try getting up and going for a walk, or do something that relaxes you. Maybe exercise or do something else to help burn the frustration from your body, I use to hit a punching bag for an hour or two when I was feeling stressed from work or life in general a few years ago. It was great exercise and it helped put me in a calmer mood.

The single best piece of advice I can give is to not use the chat. It's okay to be angry or upset, but it becomes a problem when you use those emotions against others. Allowing yourself to rage at them will very quickly lead to a permaban at this point. The chat really isn't necessary to play the game, so just drag it off the screen so you can't see it.

What can we do? Really think about it. All we can possibly do is offer you advice and support. In the end this is your battle, and you have to win it.

Just do everything you can to avoid tilting. If a game is going poorly finish it as soon as possible and stop playing. Let yourself fully cool off before even reopening the client. Find a patient friend who doesn't mind you venting to them.

If your day is already going poorly don't even play League, even if you want to. League is a stressful game, so any previous amount of stress from other games to school, work, or whatever can lead to frustration.

You likely won't enjoy just dropping the game at the first sign of frustration, but until you get some control over your emotions this is your best bet. You don't really have another option right now, because we all know what punishment comes next.

Good luck. I really hope you win this battle of yours.

Unbind your Enter key.

You cannot rage if you cannot open the chat pane.

So, I guess the heart of the matter is you have to figure out what compels you to actually type stuff out and hit enter. Because you could just yell and scream at your computer monitor if you wanted. Why waste your time typing it when you know people aren't going to listen to you and just report you for it?

It sounds like its a defense mechanism you have. You don't want to accept that you are not as good as you want to be at this game so you make excuses and blame others. Ultimately you need to accept that being bad at this game is not a bad thing. Everyone plays like crap sometimes. The only way to improve is to learn from your mistakes. That's the only way people become great at stuff. They fail and they fail and they fail but every time they fall down they get back up again. Thomas Edison failed over 1,000 times before he made the light bulb. Failure is not a bad thing. Failure will make you stronger if you learn to accept your failure and LEARN from it.

So the next time you play badly and you die say to yourself "Wow, I played that really poorly. How could I have done that better? How could I have avoided dying?" Those questions will hopefully focus your rage away from something negative and turn it into something positive. That's the key: take your anger and instead of doing something negative with it do something positive with it.

Good luck.

You could always try insulting people in a hilarious way. For example...

Garen, i hope both sides of your pillow are warm all night tonight.

Or "may your mother came to talk to you and then leave the door slightly ajar when she leaves the room. That you are forced to get up and close it"

Idk get creative / funny but dont cross the line to offensive

go play some sports outside. Or mute, or don't play at all.you seems to be intoxicated by video games

A simple tip:

If you feel the need to flame, then by all means open the chat box and type it in - and then hit Escape instead of Return. It lets you vent your frustrations by typing, but no one else has to see it, and no one else will be offended by it.

Reket DeAlk3/29/2016, 1:08:26 AM1 votes

Have music going when you play. That helps me keep calm at least.

Yell at your monitor instead of typing. Gets the flame out of your system without your team reading it. Everyone wins!...Unless you live with other people, then they might have an issue with random yelling. But that's a whole different issue.

Lastly, and this is the big one, keep this simple question in your mind: Is your account that you have spent time (and possibly money) on worth losing because of a few random players that you will likely never see again?

Aside from the obvious and probably already said (mute people, don't talk, etc) I personally recommend frequent breaks and any kind of simple stress relief you can have with you while you game.

Now, I don't think I've ever flamed anyone in chat before, but I do know I get frustrated from time to time, and for me that's a sign that I need to get away from the computer as soon as the game is done and cool off. Get out of the chair and go to the kitchen to get some water, you know? Or bring a light snack with you when you game, something small you can eat quick when you're returning to lane after a recall or after a death (cookies or grapes are great man, lemme tell ya). If you can, play with someone who's more of the supportive type (not necessarily a support player), someone who will genuinely tell you that it's not a big deal when you slip up, and also point out what you might be doing wrong. Hopefully, you're less likely to rage at a friend than a stranger, and it will be easier to accept and get past mistakes and losses, so you can start enjoying some awesome victories.

It's hard for me to give you advice on this one, because I just don't let the game get to me, but I do have a couple friends who rage really, reaaaaally hard when they start to lose (I'm talking broken hardware rage).

Realize you can't win every game. Realize you wont win every game. Realize you are not helping urself or your teammates by raging, as you are making both urself and ur teammates focus on chat and typing instead of thinking about the game. Would it be okay if someone before venting in chat or before the game started you said guys mute me or ignore me, im about about to vent my frustrations into the chat? and then you started cursing and stuff?

FurriesAreHot3/29/2016, 10:53:21 AM1 votes

I invented a script I'm working on that detects offensive use of cuss words and sends then to "my flame.txt" instead of the game chat so I can review my toxicity levels and nobody sees them

FrankerX3/28/2016, 10:39:35 PM1 votes

let your mother randomly rebind your enter key so you dont know how to open the chat.

Jubilee Phoenix3/29/2016, 5:28:24 PM1 votes

Rhojin has better way to improve then me, but I can say one thing; Never play with All chat on way to toixc. Listen to what the other people say and you shuold do fine my man. Good luck

ThatCoolBacon3/28/2016, 10:52:21 PM1 votes

don't know why this is getting so many down votes, this is just an honest post trying to get some help.

TheSequelsRBad3/28/2016, 11:18:31 PM1 votes

Option One: mute all players at the start of the game.

Option Two: Duo with someone and ask him to tell you when you are crossing the line.

Option Three: I think you can unbind your enter key in keybindings menu. Not positive, but that would make it so you can't chat at all.

But the main thing is to have self control. Don't type mean things. Even if you want to. It is literally that simple. It just requires will-power and determination.

{quoted} I can't control my flame

Fire extinguisher.

I advise taking out all the adjectives from your sentence after you type them out. If that doesn't help, play another game, this game is frustrating you.

I think I have better advice for your specific request.

Lays down on the couch

I have social anxiety. As a result, I feel particularly stressed (read panic attack) in situations that most people would consider just a little embarassing, such as making a really dumb play or playing poorly in general.

Suddenly stands up, points at the ceiling and yells

I AM A POPSICLE!!!

coughs

I'm terribly sorry, this happens sometimes. So the solution I've devised over the years is to have humor prepared in advance for those specific moments. They are lines I can write in chat that will tend to defuse the situation or release tension. I have a mental folder full of them and I just pull one out as needed.

CATEGORY 1 : Blaming ridiculous things

"Damn communism" "please report Teemo" (if there is a Teemo in the game, change the name to a champion who isn't in the game. Otherwise, always blame Teemo) "If you had a cooler skin, this wouldn't have happened"

CATEGORY 2 : ridiculous excuses "You only won that trade because a giant porpoise told me to let go. I thought she meant the keyboard, but it turns out it was just a pillow" "Oh boy I made a mis.. no wait it was LAG!.. yep. that's what it was" "It's really hard to play with these mittens"

CATEGORY 3 : Requests for abdication

"I surrender! Please just let me win" "Can you please just let us win? Some of us have things to do you know?" "Please just let us win, I once turned a man into a Newt!" "Please let us win, my girlfriend said she would leave me if I lost" "Please let us win, we really like winning"

As you can see, the dumber the better, but I guess that is a personal decision.
