I was Permanently banned

I was recently banned for 3rd party malicious software use I have never in the 3 years of playing league of legends used anything close to this (except curse voice when it first came out) in contacting riot games through support I received little to no help and was treated, frankly, disrespectfully all they're telling me is that their system detected I did something, but they wont tell me what or when I refuse to believe that this detection system has a 0% false positive rate. It is also in my mind very possible that either the league client or another unrelated program on my computer glitched out in some way to create this result.

I am willing to give any information required to have the matter settled including giving riot employees access to computer files etc I'm very desperate at this point and this seemed like the only place left to go seeing as you cant contact riot directly outside of a support ticket

I'm hoping that this post will be seen by a riot employee other than the one I dealt with so that this matter can be reconsidered.

The reason why they won't tell you is because what's stopping you, or anyone else from giving this information to the people who make these 3rd party program? They'll obviously withhold that information so those types of people don't make it harder for Riot to work in detecting these programs. We already have to deal with it because it's all done in waves, and we never know how long it will be for another waves of people using these program will detect them. If you truly believe you didn't do anything wrong by all means contact support and give them every information you can.

I have, they basically told me "our detection software detected you there nothing else we can do" and releasing information such as when the modifications were used and what modifications would in no way make it easier to get around them all it does is show how accurate they are not how they work I'm just frustrated that it seems they are completely unwilling to do any investigation outside of looking at the result their detection software gave them

Actually if they.give that answer it usually means.

"We already had someone personally review your case"

If I remember right 100% of perma bans are reviewed by a human.

I'm concerned with how thorough their investigation is and my concern is not alleviated by the lack of information they give me. having been a customer for years I would expect some kind of answer. I mean it's also a possibility, albeit a small one, that someone got onto my account via hacking etc and used a script, so if they are unwilling to accept the remote possibility (remote from their view) that I have done nothing wrong then how can they possibly fairly judge the standing of my account?

Yes it would since the people who make these mods could in turn use other programs to help "hide" it's true intention. loads of 3rd party programs use other programs (usually commonly used programs) to hide and trick detection.

All I can say is keep contacting them and if anything ask for a higher up to look into it. If you truly didn't do anything wrong and it's a mistake on their part Riot will fix it. But usually with 3rd party programs they go through loads of work to know if said person is using it!

Very well written for starters. As stated by other comments 3rd party programs like to conceal themselves in common things like curse voice.

it's not possible I unknowingly used 3rd party software though so I don't think that's relevant in my case.

Just ask the other person who played on your account. Maybe this dude used some third party tools. (the dude who play with flash on f, and not on d like you)

If you didn't used any of this stuff, there is only the option that your friend did. Btw. that's one of the reasons why it's forbidden to share accounts. (usually you get a 2 week ban for it as far as I know) You are responsible for any actions done on your account, so I think your account is gone ;-(

or the other option is their system isn't perfect? it's literally impossible that their system is perfect btw

They investigate every case per hand (at least for scripting / accountsharing / boosting), to judge if the person is really guilty. Riot only ban if they are 100% sure, that the account is involved in something like sharing / boosting blaaa. Sure, the system isn't perfect,(otherwise they wouldn't need to investigate every case per hand) but I guess it's near to impossible, that you got false banned. Just ask your friend. Maybe he is lying?

I've never heard of a permanent ban for that even boosting is a 2 week ban and thats technically account sharing as well

Lurk these forums more, most people banned for scripting this last wave got banned for sharing their accounts with scripters, and others have been banned for sharing. Many, many of them.

You're wrong. Account sharing negatively affects EVERYONE. It puts your security at risk, is a legal liability for RIOT, and it screws up the accounts MMR, which has a negative impact on the teammates you get matched with.

only if they play ranked and even then only if they play a significant amount of ranked letting a friend try a champion doesnt negatively effect anyone and riot has no legal responsibility as far as accounts go they can ban people for no reason whenever they want the reason they have to disallow it is because credit card information can be stored on accounts

MMR exists in normals and ARAM, too. Separate MMR from ranked, but still MMR, and it still has an effect. And yes, CC info is part of "IT PUTS YOUR SECURITY AT RISK AND IS A LEGAL LIABILITY FOR RIOT"

it isnt a legal liability for riot they are forced to disallow it due to that reason but that doesnt mean when it happens they are legally responsible them disallowing it nullifies any legal responsibility if the account information is freely given

That's only true if they enforce the disallowance, thus, the bans. If they don't ban for violating that rule, they're not legally protected.

A majority of these banned for 3rd party programs are actually bans for account sharing (for whatever reason I don't know why they don't put that in a separate category).

i talked to riot support though and they confirmed it I legitimately don't understand what's going on and why I cant get any more information about the ban

I'd check out this link, this person was banned under 3rd party programs and in fact it was for account sharing.
