League is unplayable for new players

As a new league of legends player, i can confidently say that this game is nowhere near the level it should be for beginners after creating a new account. The game is filled with people who have multiple accounts and switch to their low leveled ones just so they can have easy games against new players like me. The league of legends community is also immensely toxic, and filled to the brim with players who would rather put you down than bring you up. Overall the game is good, but the community and horrible matchmaking system makes league one of the worst games i have ever played

these players get filtered out by the system after a few levels, and get put into a matches with other smurfs.

Lmao you can thank Riot for banning accounts for no reason. Riot literally created a report culture that tilts people into oblivion when they get in trouble and create 10x bigger demons when they make new accounts.

Who Fed Ru is right, 'smurfs' as we call them get identified and put into their own queue. If you perform similarly to them then matchmaking could put you into that queue, but that will only happen if you already know how to play the game as well as they do.

Best advice I can give you is find some nice players to play with, you will run into one occasionally. Also if a player is being cruel or horrible to you you should mute them and then report them after the game. Riot will ban them for acting like that.

The issue is likely the system doesn't believe you're a new player. If the system believes you to be a smurf or likewise too high-skilled to be placed against actual new players its going to pair you against other smurfs

I see your first few games and you were going 25/1, 12/1. Yes, they were against bots, but for someone who's new to the moba style movement and gameplay that's still very unusual.

Then in your first game against real people you still managed to get over 100 minions killed and placed a fair amount of wards. Once again, very unusual for a new player.

Yeah it's gonna be rough until you really learn how to play. Which sucks because it's not the most simple game to learn. Once you hit 30, it will get better. A lot of bitter Smurfs don't make it to 30, and there's a lot more players at that point that the matchmaking can make more evenly matched games with more data to determine skill levels. I don't know man, if you can tough it out, the game is really fun when you get it down. But I would understand not wanting to bother, especially if this is your first MOBA. I played a little dota2 before I moved to league, so I didn't have that hard of a time when I started.

What are you comparing this to tho? Do other competitive multiplayer games not have smurfs?

As the others below have said: Looking at your match history, I don't think you're actually a new player.

You aren't a new player. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Except you're not actually a new player yourself and just made a new account, and once the system decided you were a smurf you were placed with other smurfs :^)
