Toxicity

So, I feel like I'm pretty good to the point of me being apart of more than half my team's kills on a good kda, good cs, etc. the whole 9 yards. I used to be pretty toxic and have since reformed. I win a good amount of games and everyone is either quiet or toxic but not report-worthy. However, when I do lose, I lose to the cockiest, most toxic players. I do well, but then my team seems to turn into bots and when I try to rally them someone 1v5s and next thing I know the entire game is lost, resulting in me not being able to do anything but take their toxicity up the ass. I do like to have all chat because you can have fun with it and have some interesting and comical conversations or use it to distract the enemy. By the time they start being toxic the game is over and there is no point/it's too late to mute them, I do still report them though. TL;DR I seem to exclusively lose to toxic players as well as my teammates seem to contribute more to their victory than ours in those games, how to deal with this without going back to my old fight fire with fire behaviors? It sucks when people can get away with this and a victory and even when you report, all they get is a 5 game chat restriction. [zombie-nunu-bummed]

You just have to deal with it. Riot won't punish them. The only think I can tell you is to not type and just deal with the toxicity. Typing will get you banned before it will help, even if you are being constructive. The report system is automated is can not tell the difference in the terms you use.

There are no 5 game restrictions, you have no idea how they get punished. And unless they are extremely toxic, they get the next punishment in the chain.
