I tried explaining to a Shen player that if we get popped 4 v 5 too quickly, he should position with us rather than split push. He kept repeating over and over that we died before the channel could complete and that it was okay for him to split push. Because I got frustrated and lost my cool a bit, my team decided to report me for toxic... does it even make sense to get a chat restriction if I said nothing aggressive outside of liberal use of the word fuck in its many forms?
Maybe have him ult. onto someone who doesn't die too quickly then? Or you guys delay until he completes his ult. Ideally, you want to let your Shen keep split-pushing while you waste their time. If they go for him, you take objectives. If they go for you, you kite them back to your turret.
If you're just saying 'fuck' then its not a problem. As long its not directed at anyone else. Just saying it cause' you're frustrated is okay. Also, one report or multiple ones do the same job so it may just be the Shen who reported you.
If you're frustrated and feel like you might lose your cool then its best to just cuss at them IRL - or do whatever cools you down without typing in chat. Think thrice before you type, obvious cuss words or toxicity directed at players is an obvious no-no. But so is negative behavior or anything that points a finger at someone but can be considered as 'negative'.
Good luck with your future games! [galio-happy]
