SO MANY AFKS/RAGE QUITTERS, WHY ARENT THEY GETTING PUNISHED
I keep playing with players who just tilt and rage quit, then we get demoted because of them, why arent i getting notifications telling me they are getting punished? Is Riot AFK?

You will only get the notification if the player you reported was punished by the Instant Feedback System. However, player's who leave/AFK are handled and punished by Leaverbuster, which is completely separate from the IFS. Because of this, if you report a player for leaving/AFK and they get punished, you will not receive a notification for it.
Also, the punishment for leaving is a Low Priority Queue, where the player has to wait a certain amount of time before entering the actual queue. This punishment is not able to be tracked through any website, so there's really no way to know if they have been punished.
I ask the same question. There needs to be HARSH and SERIOUS punishment for afkers in ranked. Not soft and light like it currently is. You are dealing with wasting 4 other players times and that should not be tolerated AT ALL.

I agree, Having someone wait 5 extra minutes (by leaverbuster) to join a game isn't proportional to the harm they do when they leave a game. cf. Losing a game, psychological stress/ frustration, ... It all has an influence on the attitude you have for the next game, it starts snowballing.
You actually create a toxic community because even the players with a positive attitude are getting tired of it.
It would be a great improvement for Riot to work on (personal) feedback. It gives the players a certain feeling of justice, calming them down, resulting in better overal feeling you get when playing the game and not frustration because it actually feels like your opinion matters.
Those in-game reports feel like you are just given an option to let off some steam without a result. It feels empty and frustration stays in the community.
Riot doesn't do anything to people who ragequits or afks. They only got a pat in the hand. For how many years they still never found the cure.
