I want to start by saying. I absolutely love League of Legends. With that said, I absolutely hate the players, who participate in league of legends. Let me clarify, by acknowledging that not all players, fall into this category. But, I would like to point out some issues in the community, game, and system.

In the current tribunal system, we report and ban players who are considered "toxic" or "ragers" without ever looking into the reasoning why some of these players might act out. I would like to relate this to a quote from comedian Bill Burr, who I think illustrates this same scenario.

He points out that, when a man hits a woman, a bunch of bashers team up and say, "There is no reason to hit a woman." But they are neglecting the whole cause of the situation. Sure, it sounds good to say "You should never hit a woman." But to say that there was no reason, removes the factor of why the man might have chosen to hit a woman. Obviously, he wouldn't have hit her, if there wasn't a reason behind it... unless of course he is just a maniac woman beater.

The point I am trying to make, is that the tribunal system bans countless players for raging, being toxic, blah blah blah, without ever taking into consideration the scenario and context of the situation.

For example, in my most recent game, I had a Teemo mid, who afk'd for about 15 minutes and came back, oblivious to the fact that she just affected mine and 3 other peoples game, because she didn't set a dedicated time to play league. In this same game, my Blitzcrank chose to afk for about 5 minutes because he had to let the dog out.. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING GAME. Excuse my language, but what the actual fuck. So in a basketball game, you don't see Lebron James, walk off the court to go have a cup of tea with his grandmother, right? I feel this same basic principle of respect and decency should be applied to league of legends.

Now for hypothetical speculation, someone rages on my team because, we have 2 afks for a considerable amount of time. Now, the game ends, Teemo and Blitzcrank report the rager for being "toxic". They do not receive any punishment for completely trolling the game, and the rager gets permabanned. Please enlighten me on how this is fair.

It goes back to the woman beating scenario. We are essentially saying that it is ok to troll and ruin other gamers experience for selfish reasons and for personal tasks that should be completed either before you enter a game, or after you are done with a game, but it is not ok to be frustrated as the player who has set aside time to play league of legends. The Tribunal takes out the reason behind why a person might rage and then only punishes the rager, without any consequences being given to the true troll. You know what I am talking about.. the people who afk and think that it is acceptable, the people who troll people into a rage, and then report them for raging. We need to start banning the true trolls and not the people who are affected by these trolls.

Now let me interject here by saying, in a nonranked LoL game, you can ignore everything in this post. But when I sit down to play a ranked league of legends game in hopes of ranking up. It is so underwhelming to go through a 15 minute game setup.. a load screen.. some time in game.. only to find out that it is hopeless because of an afk or a troll just waitin to get someoen to rage.

In my personal opinion, the teemo and blitzcrank who afk for 5 minutes during RANKED play are much bigger assholes and far more toxic, than the player who rages because it is 3v5 for 5+ minutes of the game, rendering it nearly impossible to carry or win... let alone rank up.

I know I am just 1 player and if I choose to uninstall riot will not give a flying fuck because of the countless money they are making.

But RIOT you gotta ask yourself, is this tribunal system working the way we intended. How many players accounts got wrongly permabanned as a result of this system. How many true trolls are still allowed to shit on all their ranked games and disrespect all the players who are apart of their team for any given game. These trolls get to keep on afk'ing, going 0/50, egging people on.. to the point where someone finally decides to say, "fuck you for ruining this game" and then they get permabanned.

I agree with you with my heart. The Tribunal system is not draconian, even if it removes all context, people say. It is made such way that those who violate rules, but get focus of team anger to someone else, gets away with their crime as people rarely report more than one or recall his violation of rules.

Riot refuses to deal with, and I think they know the issue exists, but also know they would lose majority of their players if they would start banning without report. If their precious AI would work as well as they state, they could do this. As they refuse to do it, they know their AI does not work.

The Teemo and Blitzcrank would be reported for AFK and likely punished or at least given heavy queue times.
