Instant Permaban?

So two days ago I was playing an ARAM where my team was full of squishes and we were getting completely butchered. After around 8 minutes, I suggested we should let them end the game so we can start another fresh new game, in which my teammates began to verbally abuse me. Calling me a f^cking quitter etc. I said that I won't play with their salty attitude (I did end up playing the entire game though) in which i began to get abused some more which led to me allowing my emotions to get the best of me. This is when I called them "f^ggots" and to "suck some d^cks". I understand that I was out of line for saying that and proceeded to refrain from saying anything else that could offend them. Approximately 20 minutes after the game I received a message saying my account was permabanned. I have never been in any trouble with riot in the past. Never had any chat restrictions or prior suspensions. I am usually careful about what I say to prevent this exact situation from happening. I have been a positive player for most of the 3 years I have played. Just because I had a bad day (which I know is not an excuse) and venting my anger poorly in an ARAM, is a permanent ban the best solution for someone who has never been in any trouble with the tribunal?

I have attached the chat that I assume is their justification regarding my permanent ban and was curious if the community believes it is deserving. If not, is there any way to possibly appeal or reduce the severity of punishment?

I admit, I am embarassed at the way I handled things and this does not reflect the type of player I am. Should I have received some sort of ban restriction or temporary suspension? After all, this is the first time I have ever gotten in any trouble with the tribunal.

First: They ban a player based over a span of many games, not just one (unless you are just a horrible person and spam the worst shit)

Second: if people get mad, let them get mad. To me its just a game, so if they wanna let it get to them, then fine. I never let a person get to.

Third: Don't use offensive words to make a point. Don't get mad in aram.

I have been positive for as long as I can remember. I guess you can consider this one of those really rare occurences where I lost my cool.

You would have to have lost your cool over multiple games. This chat log would be a 14 day ban at least, but Riot does not mess around with Perma's. Those that get perma's, deserve perma's.

From what I recall, I have not lost my cool for as long as I can remember. This is why this permaban bothers me so much. I know I am always a positive and easy going player 99% of the time. Except for this instance which is part of the missing 1% lol. Is there anything I can do to appeal this? I admit that i do deserve a chat restriction or the 14 day suspension for my behaviour but not a permaban.

I'm sorry about this, but unless we have all the chat logs, the only riot knows your innocence. I have seen many board posts, where people have stated and claimed they did nothing wrong, and then riot came forth with many logs of toxic behavior. Try to apply for a support ticket and then see from there. Honestly, the boards is not a great place to state your plea, for too many times we see people cry wolf.

I completely understand. It is true that I can be wrong and could have been toxic multiple times in the past. However, I cannot recall any of the instances to the best of my abilities. If it is true and I have been toxic then I do indeed deserve a permaban. I am not sure what category in the submit a ticket section to choose to discuss my permaban with Riot.

You can try and contact support. But usually with toxic behavior its a done deal. But it wont hurt to try.

With that said i do see this as being a straight permaban! I dont care how emotional you were in this no one deserves to be treated like this. Even if they started it you could have been the bigger person and just mute them. The sheer fact its an ARAM game just makes this a lot worse. its suppose to be a fun mode, not really taken seriously, but the fact you had a squishy team that by eight minutes you wanted to quit! its horrible. you miss the point of what All Random means in ARAM. sometimes you get the short end of the stick. With that said you should have tried your hardest as your teammates were, but you wanted to quit. How does that make your team feel? Now im not saying that they were right. In any case every single person involved should have gotten some sort of punished, but this all could have been prevented had you just played the game as intended!

You are indeed right. I've had time in the last two days to reflect and have realized the mistakes I made. I do also take responsibility for all that has happened. I put myself in this situation. Thanks for your input! :)

I guess you can say I need some closure. I truly feel I do not deserve a permaban but if enough evidence is brought to light to disprove me, I am more than willing to accept my fate.

What does the ban number say when you try to log in? It seems to me you had what happened to me last year. Sudden bad after 3 years of play also :/

I'll get back to you on that. I'm currently on my way home :P. Also, what category did you submit your support ticket in? I actually read your post that you had posted before. I believe you got unbanned right?

I didn't get unbanned and I never found out why they banned me in the 1st place. They only said the ban was for cheating, exploiting the game and using 3rd party programs. They refused to provide any kind of evidence and refused to give me any info. Of course, nobody believes me when I say I didn't use any programs or exploits... Hell I don't even record my games.

From my experience, your account is as good as dead. I sent them like 5 mails and all I got is their automated shit response regarding cheating.

This is almost exactly what happened to me. Skipping levels of a consequence system has no place in such a big game. There is no way to explain what could get you instantly perma banned, but Riot uses super vague explanations and when you appeal they give you useless generic answers to anything you ask. I understood that the chat logs were bad(not even me, i was compromised), the guy said a lot of curse words and used 1 racial slur(a meme from Youtuber Keemstar) but the fact that none of it was actually flaming someone and this guy seemed to be joking with enemies in the all chat makes it seem so unjustified. They have no respect to anyone who receives suspensions, acting like they're so bad all the time. I was banned for 2 games total, 2. That's unbelievable. Whether I deserved it or not(when 1 of the 2 wasn't even me. I feel like it's a little ridiculous), this system is broken as hell. Skipping suspensions, once again, is in no way shape or form fair to any player unless you ruin the game literally by afking or int feeding, but even then a perma ban isn't ok for the first occasion. And I know for a fact I was not toxic over a span of games. The previous 10 games were ranked in which I said maybe 3 things all game. In fact, I was banned for a game I didn't even play. My account was compromised. So the fact of "only over multiple games" becomes even more questionable, they just make that shit up to ban people. In all honesty this is just a disgusting low-key way to get more profit, they know people will make more accounts and buy skins from previous ones so they make the worst rule from any company I've ever seen in this business about not revoking any ban under any circumstance. Despicable, Riot is holding back their game, and it's still the biggest. Thing is, there are hundred of thousands if not millions of players that disagree with this system. It's actually insane how many people talk out against Riot's support for being the biggest issue for a game, and that should never be the case

I was shocked when I read I was permabanned. I knew what I said was wrong and was expecting a chat restriction or possibly a suspension for my behaviour but since I am not a toxic person and this was one of those rare cases of me losing my cool (which I am sure has happened to everyone at some point in this game). But to permaban a good player that has never been in any trouble nor reported for toxic behaaviour in the past 3 years to be instantly banned for two messages? Thats a load of garbage. I see people in games speak extremely disgusting with racial slurs extemely explicit and they get to roam around freely.
