Leaver Buster

Dear Riot, Last night I had to afk, due to reasons I may not release, and logged on this morning to discover that I had leaver buster. I haven't actually had leaver buster for a really long time now, about 5 months. I logged on this morning and tried to get into queue and the leaver buster is 20 minutes. How come my leaver buster hasn't been reduced? I haven't left a game in a very long time, and I don't have very much time to go through the leaver buster. Can someone explain why the time hasnt been reduced in 5 months? Does it ever reduce?

I'm not sure about the technical side of Leave Buster, but it seems to only happen when you leave your games often. I would think it decay after 5 months. So I assume you probably left more games earlier than that!

It probably keeps your records. Riot said that if you were punished for being toxic in this season, you wouldn't get the end of season rewards. So something similar could apply to leaverbuster. Maybe you need to stay clean for a long time if you went afk often in the past. To give you an example, I went afk often for the first time last summer. The notification I told you about came to me at November. If you went afk often in the past, maybe it builds up and you need even more time to recover. Who knows? I'm just showing you posibilities of what is actually going on, I am not certain.

Yes it does. I received a notification from riot on my client, saying that because I haven't left any games recently, my profile status has improved. Basically riot said my low priority was reduced to 5 minutes again. But my total play time is not that high, maybe you were playing for a long time and you went afk often in the past so you are still recovering. This actually happens to a friend of mine who went afk a lot in the past but now he 's been clean for months but still gets 20 minute low priority if he goes afk, so it seems like a logical explanation.
