Hello, fellow League of Legends players, I am writing this lengthy message, or letter, out to you to notify that I am quitting indefinitely. I have played this game for what would be four years next season. I was permanently banned a few days ago for Toxicity, and I would like to apologize for that, if you have ever played with or against me. (I will list my IGNs at the end). I had a plan to address those in matches where I had flamed a considerable amount, but Riot will not let me see the logs, unfortunately. So, this will have to do:

"I am sorry. Not only to those I've played with, but those I've faced. We all play the same game and at different levels, and it was my fault for me to put you down for not playing up to my standards. Each year, my enjoyment overall with this game dwindled further and further. With how this season was overall and the changes I heard that they were making next, I guess I just popped. With personal things happening with my life and the game changing so much, I took the stress out on my fellow players, and that isn't right. So, I'm sorry."

For those thinking: "You didn't quit, you were banned." Yes I was banned, but once I made a new account out of anger, I stopped and asked myself, "what's the point?". That. Right there, is what decided this for me, those three words. Not only does the competitiveness of this game eat away at me, but I just wasn't having fun anymore. I started off, so excited to play League, happy to get better, meet people, and to overall, just have fun, but near the end, it felt like a job, a chore I had to do. I would just go into autopilot. Sit down, open league, play, go to bed, after school, of course. It just felt as if something was holding me to it, to me, there was.

The money I invested into this game, being roughly $800USD, was a lot for me, especially since 80% of my $300 paychecks went towards this game for skins and the new gambling mini-casino that is the chest system. Once I received the permanent ban and calmed down, I realized this was a blessing, I was free, finally free. And all I can say to Riot is: "Thank you. Even though you annoyed me so much in the past, thank you for this."

Riot is nowhere near the perfect company, and I think they can admit that. They are doing very well, especially for a Free-To-Play game, but they also have faults. Some worse than others (like what the hell is Ashe's R even, the hitbox is the size of a cruise ship), but that's besides the point. Thank you Riot, I'm a thorn that needed to be plucked. Now you're free of the reports against me, and I'm free of my addiction.

I don't hate league of legends, I don't. I think it's a wonderful game like World of Warcraft. If I ever had the opportunity to work for Riot, I don't care what it would be, I would take it, even if it was a janitorial position. I love this game and I love the staff that helped make it and continue to work on it. Thank you, all of you for these four years. They were great, and I'm sorry it had to end like this. Riot's banning system is flawed, they prefer that you don't talk/type at all.

"Toxic" let's define toxic please? 1st is poisonous substance, 2nd definition by google is denoting or relating to debt that has a high risk of default. As you can see, that league of legends is a competitive based game where players like to win, get angry, and or sometimes even troll out of sheer anger. Now what causes this "toxic" behavior apparently? It could be your team, the enemy team, or just in general having a bad day. What i don't agree with here is, just because you say a few things here and there that is regarded as toxic doesn't mean you are necessarily toxic yourself, you could be trolled by teammates feeding or spamming and or just downright their stupidity. When Riot's system bans someone permanently or 14 days the term "Toxic" has a wide range and variety of words basically the whole vocabulary can be toxic if interpreted the wrong way, which sadly happens to most players and therefore are banned.

You make it sound like Riot hands out the 14-day and perma-ban for minor first time offenses. The 14-day ban is given to those who intentionally feed or has shown little to no improvement in their behavior since their chat restriction.

The perma-ban (for behavior reasons) is only given to the select few that Riot thinks has no intention of behaving with civility, so they would rather them gone from the game to keep them from driving away other customers.

Riot can and does hand out worse than 14 day bans, i know how the supposedly called ban tier works, first the chat restriction followed by either another one than a 14 day ban and thus concluding your permanent ban. A number of players have been permanently banned, without one of these warnings, my case as well. Stop being delusional.

If you were banned without warning it meant that you were a worst case scenario. Certain things will get you perma banned on the spot such as hate speech, death threats, blackmail and sharing someones sensative info.

It could also mean that your case was reviewed manually by a Riot employee and he terminated the account on the spot because of how bad the case was.

Regardless only the worst of the worst skip tiers and go right to account termination. For more info on your case i suggest you contact Riot Support.

Being toxic just means being discourteous to others in the game, that can be in the form of verbal harassment or griefing in the game by intentionally feeding, ragequitting, etc. It's true that exhibiting these behaviors every once in a while doesn't necessarily mean you are toxic, but more often than not infrequent acts of toxicity are not punished.
