Push to lv 15

Just recently I was suspended for "Unsportsmanlike behavior" This was done by two players who went by the names of Sir %%%% and Sir Kys kys, I have video evidence of my behavior and it's supposed "unsportsmanlike." If anyone can help me out please let me know. The link to the video will be provided, though it is like the last 40 ish minutes of the game that was recorded that had these two in it.

Lol it was some guy, but I doubt it was 'your' guy. Don't you have anything better to do than claim credit for other's misdeeds?

ModDaenrysTargaryen3 votes

send a ticket to riot, if thier names were that they will take off the strike and give your account back without any problems, its because you repeated their names, and kys is an automatic 14 day ban, they will get in trouble and thier names will be changed

"Bait banning doesn't exist"

Bait banning does exist, but it's not a widespread operation like some people would want you to believe.

This guy is a cyber stalker. I have filed a police report. He showed up at my brothers work holding a knife and asking for me. Enjoy jail buddy.

This is false folks, cream is just pissed that I'm ruining their fun of trying to troll the rest of you.

Bait banning operation desperate cry for attention continues

Edit: Riot does not care about you or your childish behavior, you should instead try acting decent towards others, like the rest of us do. It works a lot better to get positive attention.

I always thought of CreampEye as a dedicated troll that always kept his cool, but it seems like he snapped when someone broke his delusions :/

I can't speak to that, but I can definitely see it being possible. Seems like something that could very easily get players who aren't familiar with Riots system.

I don't see anyway it could be prevented either, especially if its done in low level bot games like in the OPs clip.

HalcyonDweller1 votes

Yeah it's a small issue, but one that is easily solved with a support ticket. Riot can verify if the behavior was one-off / accidental, or if it is a persistent pattern. Obvious patterns of negativity tend to disqualify the user from being considered innocent though.

Edit: don't mind cream, they are just pissed that I keep calling their bluff in front of everyone and ruin their attempts to antagonize boards-goers.

HalcyonDweller2 votes

Submit a support ticket, Riot has lifted bans such as yours in the past, if you're telling the truth about why you were banned then they will likely help you out.

WHy should someone be unbanned though for doing something common sense would dictate you SHOULD NOT DO??

HalcyonDweller2 votes

There are instances of players being tricked into repeating zero tolerance phrases. Such cases in Riot's eyes do not warrant as harsh a punishment as malicious (angry or malicious intent) or smart-assery ("lol I meant kiss yourself").

I'm not saying it is okay to say, but in situations where players threatened to feed if the punished player did not repeat those phrases, or when the player was simply repeating the other player's account name if no other toxicity is present then I see no reason to over-punish the player.

Has No Team1 votes

Wait so you're saying there is an acceptable circumstance to unban these players for saying things that common sense would tell you that you should not because you want to win? THat's a pretty shitty argument plus you're not going to trick me in to saying a 0 tolerance phrase because I read the rules... Something people should do if they want to play and not lose their account.

HalcyonDweller2 votes

Given that those players are unlikely to ever say it again anyways (due to the nature of it being an accident and Riot Support being able to warn them not to do it again), I see no reason not to reverse the punishment.

I know how it feels to want the world to be clearly defined with lines of white and black, right and wrong. But it's not. And this is a nuanced situation that warrants some consideration for the banned player's plight.

Has No Team1 votes

Okay so you're basically saying that breaking a rule that is of common decency is forgivable if someone prompts you to utter a slur which you already know is a terrible thing to say. Yet since someone decided to goad you fuck it "when in Rome right ? " ... That's actually just stupidity to counter what you perceive as stupidity. That's not productive.

HalcyonDweller2 votes

Nope. Not what I am saying at all.

I've made my stance quite clear, if you continue to pretend I said something different then I'm not going to waste any more time explaining it to you.

You're really saying it though. By saying these players should be unbanned you are saying that they're not guilty in typing something that ANYONE knows is clearly unacceptable. Your vendetta against Creampeye is having you justify ignorance on the basis of "someone made them do it" or "They've been tricked". Nobody is going to trick me in to typing in a racist slur or the ever so popular initials for telling someone to end their own life. If I type something like that I should have to sit for the ban regardless of having been prompted or convinced. It's a clear community guideline in which there is ZERO TOLERANCE. Let that sink in. ZERO....TOLERANCE...

This means there is NO wiggle room. These phrases are things riot deems unacceptable to say to other players because they are terrible things to say. If they're terrible things to say then what makes being "baited" in to it something that should get these people off the hook because of feigned ignorance or a lack of self editing in their communication? That's what I am not getting. I don't think these people should be unbanned. You cannot be unknowingly tricked in to saying a common racist slur or homophobic speech. You know what you are typing because YOU ARE TYPING IT.

Edit: the other type of trolling "Do this or I troll".... Let em troll.. You lose the game launch a report and move on... You carry the 4v5 ? Launch a report and move on. You cannot be held hostage in a game unless you let yourself be held hostage.

This has nothing to do with cream. I've said it before and I'll say it again, bait banning is a completely separate issue.

If you look at Riot Tantram's history on the boards, you will see that Riot's stance on it is that players who are forced into repeating ban-able phrases are given some leniency provided that it is clear that they did nothing else wrong.

We're on the same side here. Personally, I still choose to sit through it and report the fucker if they try to hold the game hostage. But other people are not like us. We can't expect them to give up 45 minutes of their time to suffer for the sake of the greater good.

Obviously if people dismiss and ignore a person who attempts to hold their game hostage then the person holds little power over them... but not everybody is willing to take that risk like you and I. You're taking far too harsh a stance against the victims of an unorthodox form of trolling.

Has No Team1 votes

That's where you and I differ... I do not see anyone as victims in this. Bait banning is literally being done through people's willing participation and sheer stupidity. There is no downside to what is being done. These are players that are willing to say the phrases. They are people who would otherwise end up saying them anyhow. Shit man I am glad these people are getting a 14 day ban because whenever they speak in chat again they will always remember hell I might lose my account.

Most of the players who have recieved these bans (Some of my friends included) refuse to use chat now for anything other than game related information or tactics. That's what it's designed for. These bans going out for people saying these phrases and these people being upset about it is actually fixing a problem. As much as I do not like to admit that some group or people which are smugly doing this are effective I have seen the difference. I'm not saying these are the people responsible for getting two of my friends bait banned but the two players in question are no longer tilting my team members when playing alongside me. It's actually refreshing. I see no victims in this set of action only improvements being made in the community.

OK we're done here. Obviously you don't plan to change your mind, and nothing you say will convince me to change my mind. See you around.

Has No Team1 votes

Honestly were there any compelling argument i would gladly try to understand it but so far I have not seen one.

Has No Team1 votes

I don't know... Getting people to do shit they know is against the rules is seriously the person still doing some shit that's against the rules. THey should still sit for the ban.

Ekitaih1 votes

Eh. They need to implement a system that catches these type of people during name creation. Most online games catch these type of names before they are made. LoL has been around too long to not do this already.

HalcyonDweller1 votes

Indeed they do need to do it. I think Riot is working on something, I hear rumors of it every now and then. Probably had too many people devoted to working on preseason to progress it the past few months.

I have no doubt they’ll implement it eventually. Just sooner rather than later is key. Too many ways to troll players currently and this one, albeit obvious for some, will likely get several people. Some of the younger generation are easily fooled but there are also some people who aren’t quite familiar with how awful this community can be.

I concur, here's hoping they deal with it swiftly.
