Leaver penalties

Not gonna lie im pretty salty rn because of Riots leaver buster system. I understand the purpose is to discourage leavers and afks but the system doesn't take different situations into account. I was playing an urf the other day and about midway in my wifi cut out and I disconnected. Eventually my wifi came back up and I was able to rejoin for like five minutes. When I rejoined I even got a double kill. My wifi kept on cutting out but you could tell i was trying to rejoin. Just saying Riot needs a better way to distinguish actual trolls and people trying to play the game. Idk just my opinion.

I would suggest setting up a hardline if your Wi-Fi is giving you trouble. People only get punished by leaverbuster for consistent disconnects and afking. This leads me to believe that this wasn't a one-off situation.

The system doesn't take situations into account because that would mean you could abuse it. Instead of outright leaving game, you unplug your router for a second, get dropped, and then your internet comes back, you rejoin, unplug again, etc... riot can SEE you're trying to rejoin, so why would they punish that??? Because some people would do that on purpose to avoid leaverbuster.

You do not get punished for one leave.

You get punished for multiple leaves showing a pattern over time.

Either your WiFi cuts out frequently (in which case you need to fix it before you leave any more games unintentionally), or you intentionally left some other games (in which case you got punished correctly).
