Transferred from EU to NA , but this community....

So, I recently moved to Canada from Europe, I've been playing since season 2 , so I have seen my fare share of players from bronze-challenger, and I've got plenty of experience and in game knowledge.I am writing this post to ask other players who transferred to NA from different regions, does NA really have such a toxic playerbase?

Don't get me wrong, I've found the Americans to be far more social and friendly than Europeans overall, but my god,for some reason, the level of toxicity and just pure player harassment is staggering for me personally ! I cannot believe how they just call u a troll, start insulting you for any mistake, and this is in normals:))), if it were in ranked, maybe I would have understood.

I'm not talking about in game skill, just pure common sense, it's like I am playing alongside teenagers with some serious problems....

For some unknown reason, ever since I transferred, I am playing with a mixture of teammates from bronze-plat, but the silver just keep on hammering, last game I got insulted and bashed all game long by everyone for going Nida support....

Just wanted to ask if anyone else has had a similar feeling ? I am directing this questions specifically to those who played on other servers besides NA.

No offence intended to anyone :) Kind Regards

This is an example of how extremism has affected America. We feed on extremes. We like to boo hoo and assume people are doing things on purpose and it's all a conspiracy. Our greatest enemy in American League is our own teammates.

I have done quite a bit of travelling both within the US and on the other continents. Levels of politeness really vary from country to country. I've met more jerks in the US on average, compared to the number of jerks I have met while traveling abroad. However, this could be that I spend a lot more time in the US and so I encounter more people here than I do as a tourist in another country... but I will say, on average for traveling to other places in the US vs Europe, Europe was overall more polite than the US.

People in Canada are toxic because it's cold. Americans are toxic because they are American.

My own experiences which may simply be due to poor timing and cultural misunderstandings.

NA= Generally just being stubborn and paranoid. There are plenty of nice people (usually they stay silent because of fear of being pulled into a shitstorm they have no interest in).

EU West= Holy crap, I have never seen this much xenophobia since reading about pre-WWII Japanese culture. Basically, do your best, mute everyone to avoid being baited into saying things they will use as an excuse to berate you. Pings are all you need and if you're afraid of muting in case you miss some rare happenstance of useful information, just get used to the fact that you will probably miss it anyway from the amount of excessive ping spam and cultural slang that's supposed to mean something if you live in the same region as the keyboard warriors.

EU Nordic and East= Surprisingly easy to stay neutral if you absolutely refuse to entertain political baiting and say you're only interested in the game. Don't harass people, nor use sarcasm (even if it's jokingly as it can be misunderstood as flaming), and don't take criticism too harshly as people will simply give you straight facts and it's too easy to mistake over-explanations as being needlessly critical. Also, broken 'Engrish' is something you just have to get used to if you expect ANY kind of understandable communication. The ping was horrible (I live in Canada) so I wish I had a better opportunity to play on this server.

I have seen and talked to far more people from EUW and EUNE who talk about how much worse their servers are from NA, especially EUNE.

I'ld chalk it up to personal experience.

NA = low tier trolling, everyone very sensitive to any negative communication (if you ask anything of them, no matter what it is, they have a very high chance of not wanting to win, because to them they are playing fine and nothing is possible to change for the benefit of others), they usually have a very high view of themselves, staggeringly bad communication (pinging more than once is apparently spam????????), never ever ever ever surrender (worst part of NA imo)

EU = my limited experience in EU has shown that no one even wants to attempt to get along, and general prejudice runs strong, typically the flame is more violent than NA but less personal than KR.

KR = if anything in game to them shows you are not catering to them, they will start passively inting (not paying attention, just afk farming and trolling essentially), the flame is very personal and escalates extremely quickly, players generally care more though, but don't listen to anyone but themselves, good communication through pings though. I do appreciate the fast surrendering as it is much easier to get more games out and I personally don't get tilted as much when the unwinnable games are over fast. Some prejudice towards chinese but that is (somewhat) justified (if you have ever played with them, you will understand)

TLDR;

NA = don't care as much about winning, more likely to lose out of spite and the flame is less violent and personal than other regions, though its more about saying how bad someone is rather than telling them that you'll kill their whole extended lineage or that their mom is a jizzbucket.

I would appreciate if you don't use the word toxic though, unless you are talking about real toxic. That word is losing its meaning fast. Please understand. You are talking about negativity, not toxicity.
