Playing Off Meta in Ranked = Int Feeding ban?

So I recently received this:

The scores arent so bad and neither are the stats, and 2 out of 3 were wins. Yes, I played off meta in ranked.

So I contacted support, and they claimed that that I was trolling and griefing, by playing off meta I assume.

So first question, it seems that playing off meta in ranked is considered trolling & griefing, but its OK to do in normals? (thats what im reading here ^)

Second question, why don't we have a complete list of which champs can perform which roles, and with which builds? If I can build AD Janna support support and win, why not? If we had a list of all allowed combinations it could avoid this situation for other people, and clarify the rules.

It's so blatantly obvious that you are trolling. I don't know if you were hoping you'd get banned so you could contest it, or honestly thought you'd slip under the radar. I don't even know what information you're looking for; you 100% know you were trolling.

Playing off meta is not trolling or griefing. Trolling or griefing is .. trolling or griefing.

You've been reported 511 times in a little over a MONTH; many of these are by your opponent, not your teammates. For comparison, I have been reported once lifetime on one of my accounts, and 8 lifetime on the other.

You've made a game of trolling, and even admit to it many times.

Hmm... the one thing that seems fishy to me, is that I can not identify a support in any of those games, so I can't help but wonder if this is a case of refusing to play the role you were given.

But that said, this still means this is in the realm of "stuff we as regular players can't verify", so would be nice to get some clarification.

Small (kinda irrelevant) sidenote: 2 out of 3 were losses, not wins. You only won the one where you played Janna.

From the looks of it you've been assigned support in all three of those games, and you got some common traits in all of them.

First up your CS is way beyond that of what a normal support should have. I'm sorry, but when you got 206 CS as Malzahar support, and your mid laner Annie has 76 CS it all kinda sounds fishy. I could understand if it was for that one game, but it's the same in the other games where you had 269 CS (Xerath AD) and 303 CS (Janna AD) while your mid laners had 100 CS or less.

When you look at those factors it really looks like that you, as a support role, have been going mid lane to take the CS especially since the majority of your deaths/kills are in the mid lane. This combined with the fact that you use that gold, which you have been stealing from your carries, to buy items that you don't scale with in any way (AD Xerath?), makes it understandable if your teammates decided to report you. That's trying to sabotage your teams effort of winning. Those were ranked games and people that are trying to climb the ladder are held back by your strategies, which doesn't appear to be off-meta strategies from my perspective, but more like griefing or trolling. If you atleast had a positive win rate with it, then it would be slightly more acceptable as it proves it works, but as seen you infact only won 1 of those games, not 2 as you claimed.

I wouldn't say that a 14 day suspension is justified, but I definitely don't think you're innocent either from what I see.

ima call bs on the games you linked because the malz and janna ones seem off while you have a 0/5/2 malz and a 1/11 xerath game

At a glance I think it's a ban worth reversing.

Upvoting for visibility. From the game builds and stats alone I don't see a reason to assume it was intentional griefing.

There's off-meta, and then there's not even trying to play the assigned role; if you were given support (either by choice or Riot's moronic mandatory autofill) then play it; take a support item, don't take CS. I have played a huge number of off-meta supports (e.g. Veigar for MF and Twitch, Xerath or Malz for Jhin), but I've built support items and not taken CS, and I haven't been reported as far as I can tell....
