Bots in Aram, Friendly discussion and possible Fix(es)

Hello, I'm a Zed main who enjoys playing Aram early morning/later in the day to wind down from the regular games, mainly for playing new champions, feeding poros, all that fun stuff. but when I play, every round almost is guaranteed to have one bot At least on either team, they are pretty easy to notice, these are some distinctions. -The name isn't unique, usually a regular name with some letters, (i.e RoxanneQ) -Always has Snowball and exhaust, the default spells. -A Default profile image. -They almost ALWAYS buy stopwatches, and use them randomly, not even while in danger.

These are always what I find these bots to have, and I had thought of some simple countermeasures that could go a long way.

>Have no spells selected at start, and they have to go to their profile and select spells under "Aram Spells" or something like that, since they always have default spells, they obviously don't change them anyway, make it so you can't play ARAM until you select these spells.

>Have to be honored a specific amount of times before playing ARAM, (like even 20 honors would be good.) because bots are Much easier to spot in Summoners Rift and Twisted Treeline, and who is going to honor a bot? Nobody.

>Force a chat code on anyone playing Aram that hasn't Talked or Used pings recently, (Recently = past game or two) a box will pop up, blocking the screen, and they can't continue playing till they type the code in the bar under the box, for example.

>You Have not chatted or used pings recently, please type the following code in the box below to continue playing: 5KI2AM You won't have to chat as you could just use like the "on the way ping" and ping to the end tower at game start, and you are good to go.

I play this for fun, not to play against a computer with accounts that will be sold by someone at $5 a pop after messing up my own games. These are some ideas I had, feel free to leave opinions below, thank you for reading.

The issue is, it would be relatively easy for a bot to be programmed to bypass all of those.

Have no spells selected at start, and they have to go to their profile and select spells under "Aram Spells" or something like that, since they always have default spells, they obviously don't change them anyway, make it so you can't play ARAM until you select these spells.

The bot will just be programmed to do this.

Have to be honored a specific amount of times before playing ARAM, (like even 20 honors would be good.) because bots are Much easier to spot in Summoners Rift and Twisted Treeline, and who is going to honor a bot? Nobody.

This one is decent. But I imagine the bot programmers would just make it so the bots queue together and honor each other or just let them only go to the modes that they are not restricted from, thus just moving the problem elsewhere.

Force a chat code on anyone playing Aram that hasn't Talked or Used pings recently, (Recently = past game or two) a box will pop up, blocking the screen, and they can't continue playing till they type the code in the bar under the box, for example.

As with the randomly using the stopwatch, they would just randomly ping or say pre-programmed phrases to bypass this.

So at best these methods would just delay bots. Until they get programmed to bypass them. But they will always be things that would annoy the real players. What if a real player doesn't chat or use pings? You're basically punishing them for that. Extra steps to select summoner spells? That will certainly get annoying. An honor requirement? What if a real player wants to play aram but can't because they haven't reached that specific amount of honors, you can't exactly grind them out.

There's such a huge market for level 30 accounts because everyone and their mother is getting permabanned + people want smurfs

so there's a lot of bots.

They won't go away until Riot sell level 30 accounts themselves

This has been a problem for a long time and Riot has been reluctant to acknowledge that it is happening. Since there's no easy solution, they apparently want as few people as possible to know about it (lest more people become aware of the programs people use to run bot accounts and start using them, presumably).

I remember a few times over the past few years when Rioters asked me what reason I had to believe these players were bot accounts. I went into a lot of detail outlining precisely what patterns were clear indicators of bots and showed them screenshots. They never had a reply when I did.

The only good news is eventually your MMR will rise to where you aren't matched with the bots anymore.

I recently made another account for ARAM as riot said they were gonna fix the ARAM account problem by unlocking all champs in the mode and adding systems to make it have progression but never did, besides that the bots have been bad, last two games i had 3 bots on my team. enemy had two both times as well. Literally a 50% bot rate maybe every two or three games do one of those verification's where you need to click the road signs or something . These people use bots to get account to level 30 to sell them, something like this could make it not worth the time and effort.
