All i ever put my money and time towards gone... because people get offended when i tell them there bad for going 0/10 and for wasting my time and the other people on the team. Never in my life have i ever seen so many people get hardons for reporting people when they say anything they don't like or they offends them.

I have been played competitive gaming for 9 years now and every single day you get shit talked, have i ever once reported anybody for it... no.. Cause im not a baby that when someone hurts my feelings i report the and hope they lose there invested time/money so i can get back at them.

This game is full of babies and children. Sadly that what mainstream games attract in the masses. You children will never understand what a real competitive game is.

Just because you don't get offended doesn't mean others don't. Also, you should have taken the multiple warnings (chat bans, temporary game ban) as warnings to change your behavior. Yet you didn't and insisted on acting a certain way that you were told was inappropriate just because you wanted to. If you ask me, that sounds more like a child's perspective than what you described.

"because people got offended" this is victim blaming, stops it, if they got offended then you said something offensive.

Seriously not everyone is the same as you and your friends, "too sensitive" :/. Would you ever just tell some random person on the street they are bad? you don't even know them or how they will react to that, surely you wouldn't. What about a new Co-worker or someone from a different department they come in would you just tell them they are bad and should quit right now? no you wouldn't (unless you really want to get fired).

league is a public place, treat it as such and be polite and respectful, this is not just you sitting at home in your underwear or out with your mates (all of who you can trust not to get offended because they know you).

I'd stick to single player and friend only multiplayer games if I was you.

That's an opinion not proof.

What I think the OP is failing to realise is that League games are a public place and should be treated as such. Its like a park or mall or something there is stuff you don't just shout out in public.

Secondly you are dealing with strangers, people you don't know and can't accurately predict their behavior so you should err on the side of polite and friendly because that's, you know, not being a douche. you are presenting yourself to the world publicly. I get you are hiding behind an anonymous name but why does that change your behavior... online I am Narvuntien that is who I am if anything I am more polite and friendly online than in person. (because strangers make me anxious)

This understanding of who is at fault when someone gets offended seems like the basic line of maturity, I swear teenagers don't get it... until they suddenly do.. and then they are adults.. some people never do.

Unfortunately, toxicity is bannable. And to be banned, you really have to be toxic. Trash talking is allowed, but being toxic is not.

To get banned you literally have to threaten someone's life, be racist, homophobic, or hate speech. Trashtalking isn't what gets you banned. And even if you didn't use extreme toxicity to be banned, you still received multiple warnings and chose to still be toxic.

You aren't an exemption from the rule. If you're incredibly toxic you will be banned. That's all that happened here.

Is it truly that hard not to trash talk and put others down? I'm asking this in all seriousness, because I simply can't find a reason to spend even a second of my own time just to tell someone playing a game that they're bad. It doesn't benefit anyone.

If you have to waste time typing up something that you know will just make someone mad then the problem is you, not them. If you ask me the real children are the ones who think that they can say and do whatever they want online and not be held accountable for their actions. That's why so many people hate Riot, because they actually hold people accountable for their actions in-game, rewarding those who behave like a decent human being and punishing those who just want to be downright jerks to everyone who crosses their paths. Just because you can say something doesn't mean you should. If you were so worried about your money then you shouldn't have done stuff that you knew would get you in trouble.

P.S. If you're gonna try to use an excuse on me then don't bother. I've been around LoL since Season 2 and have been an active member in the Player Behavior boards for a few years as well also. Needless to say I've seen the common explanations and excuses that people try to use to try to justify their actions (to no avail I might ask). The smart ones learn from their mistakes while the stupid ones feign ignorance and blame others when they're finally caught in the act and punished.

Sorry, nice try but no. Riot has ways of tracking people who intentionally troll games. Even though it isn't punished as often has verbal harassment is it is still punished regardless. Also, the mute button is not a "get out of jail free" card. You shouldn't force others to mute you just because you want to be a verbally abusive jerk. Besides, retaliating just makes the situation worse, not better, since you're forcing your teammates to deal with another jerk than the ones that they already had to deal with before. From Understanding the Tribunal:

1) What's the point of having a language filter if I can get banned for 'adult' language? a) We aren't out to punish players who use adult language; in fact, very few players are ever banned for saying stuff like "f***, I missed that skill shot" or "damn, fing close game!" However, the language filter is not an excuse to verbally abuse someone in the game. When you verbally abuse or harass someone by calling them "fing *****" or "ngger noob", that's when you've crossed the line and will be punished by the Tribunal. I've said this before and I'll say it again, we aren't trying to clean online games of adult language; we're trying to reform or get rid of jerks who like to verbally abuse and harass other players.

4) That player in my game was far worse than me. Why am I banned??? a) I'll keep this one simple: retaliation isn't OK. Reacting to a toxic player by being toxic just incites that player to be even worse--it also ruins the game for up to 8 other players. It is far, far worse to watch two people yelling at each other all game than it is to watch 1 player ranting into blank space. Here's the thing: we don't care what you do, as long as you aren't harassing or griefing other players. Talk, don't talk, it makes no difference to us.

There are many ways to play League. Just because someone is doing something different doesn't automatically make them wrong.

You suck and uninstall do not constitute advice. If you really are the more experienced player, then you should be trying to find ways to lift people up so they can win rather than putting them down. When you make comments like this, all you are doing is wasting your time typing and distracting your team.

[3] Most people know when they made a mistake or when they are being outplayed. Pointing this out to them is unnecessary and counterproductive.

[4] In the heat of battle, few people are going to be in a proper emotional state to receive criticism.

As for your other post...

Also, I've reported people for this countless times and I've never once had the satisfaction of seeing a "a recent player you've reported has been punished" etc. Riot can't do shit because they're more worried about people's feelings being hurt over being called an asshole, feeder, or noob.

You only get that notification if it was your report alone that triggered a punishment. This doesn't mean that the person in question wasn't punished, but rather that it wasn't your report alone that pushed it over the edge. I've never experienced it myself first-hand but that's fine, I don't have to to know that the system is working as intended. If reporting truly didn't work then we wouldn't see so many people complaining about their bans here on the forums. As for your other "excuse/insult" of sorts, I'll just leave this post from Ulanopo's Knowledge Base here for you and others like you to read:

Simply put, Riot says no. You can scream and cry all you want, but it is their house and their rules.

With that out of the way, I think the topic deserves some further discussion. The theory is that, if people resolved to care less, then they would be happier. I often refer to this as Argument from Stoicism and I think it is a fairly weak philosophy because it places the burden on the person being expected to endure the behavior rather than the person exhibiting the behavior. You should be able to handle it is just a flimsy excuse for being a bully or a jerk. I have to be the bigger man so that you can do whatever you want? That hardly seems fair.

There is also the issue of how I spend my limited free time. Like most people, I am constantly required to make value judgments between the different forms of entertainment that are available to me and, let's be honest, we live in an age of nearly limitless entertainment options. If I'm having a bad day in League, I can just fire up Steam and play a whole bunch of games that don't require me to put up with someone's BS.

This is not an issue of weakness or thin-skin; it's a question of choosing activities that don't leave me feeling frustrated and angry. Too many of those experiences and I'll just find something else to do. Riot knows this.
