Account compromised, banned after hacker used "3rd party software".

My account was recently hacked, and whomever hacked it used 3rd party software to cheat. My account has now received a ban. I would recommend to everyone that they use Riot's two-step verification process going forward to ensure this doesn't happen to you. This is my correspondence with them to date, waiting for a reply. I will keep this post updated with their response.

Hello Riot,

I'm contacting you regarding an email I was sent today elluding to my supposed use of 3rd party programs for the purpose of cheating, and the subsequent ban I was issued. I have reason to believe my account has been compromised, and I have evidence to back this up.

Recently, my account justly received a 14-day suspension for behaviour of which I am guilty of. I served that suspension, and I have not played on this account since that suspension was instated. I have owned this account for many years, going back to the earliest seasons of LoL's history. I do not want to see this account fall at the hands of hackers trying to 'boost' up legitimate cheats.

In terms of proof of my claim, please refer to my match history both long term and short. Upon receipt of my ban, I immediately checked my own match history. The last 3 games on record are all games that were played as an ADC (Caitlyn and Ezreal respectively). Over the years, my record will show that I have seldom ever played ADC, and never particularly well. It is by far my worst role, hence why I do not play it. These games were also played after 23 days had elapsed, during which presumably whomever occupied my account potentially used cheating software.

In addition, whomever occupied my account was in duo queue with an account named "Goldfisch19". I do not know who this Summoner is, and nor have I had any exchange with this individual that I can recollect.

I have become aware since this debacle that Riot offers a two-step verification process of which I will be using on my other account going forward to ensure this does not happen again. However I realize that this does not fix my current situation.

I please ask that you look into whom or what has compromised my account, and also please have a closer look at the account holder by the name "Goldfisch19". I believe he may be a culprit. I would also be grateful if you could unban my account that I feel was given to me by mistake.

If you csn prove it wasnt you, send a ticket to riot support

If yoi cant, make sure your next account has better security

I have sent a ticket with the above dialogue, just waiting to hear back. Also a quick search shows that I'm not the first to deal with this exact situation. I'm not sure what the outcome will be however..
