Honor level 5 after getting a chat restriction?

So I've recently got a 10 game chat restriction which I believe isn't right because the person who reported me claimed he was going to lie about me telling him to "KYS", which I never said. I might've been a bit harsh for telling him he doesn't belong in that elo however I don't think that is worth chat restricting me for.

Fast forward to today finishing my 10 game chat restriction and I noticed during the loading screen that I had an honor 5 flair which I believed to be a bug. Even logging out and logging back in, it still shows that I am honor 5.

That does sound odd. You should have had your honor lowered after a punishment, so I definitely think you should ask support about what’s up with your honor. Hopefully nothing is wrong with it. Hopefully they treat this differently since you were forthcoming about it.

Where were you in honor before your CR?

I have since submitted a support ticket for this. If you mean if I had an honor level before the CR then yes, I was honor level 2 with one of the orbs lit up.

shhh dont tell them, if you stay quiet you might get honor level 5 swag... Ill never get there since I got 1 chat ban and it took 6 months to get to honor 2...... dont waste this chance [sg-jinx]

if it is a mistake and I'm actually honor 0 but it shows honor 5 it may stop me from gaining anymore honor. on top of that if it wasn't a mistake why have I not gotten any honor wards?

[cass-cry] Very true, I hope its just a bug so you can try to get back like I did... its not fun btw. They say be nontoxic, but even then it takes FOREVER.

So true. I haven't had any chat or toxic related issues and it's taken 5 months just to get honor level 4. Getting there the first time is a pain, I can't imagine having to get back up a second time. :(

Id say you have 0% chance to go from 0 to 4. Im at 0 checkpoints honor 2 climbing from 1, and it took me since just after christmas.

Haha I got banned in february and about 2 weeks ago I got honour level 2 x) it is a pain!

my honor has gone down to honor level 1 which i still think is weird since shouldn't it be honor 0?

No. Chat Restriction only lowers your honor to 1. If you get another CR (25 CR), then it goes to 0. 14-day drops it to 0 straight.

i got a 10 game chat restriction and reseted me straight to lvl 0, happend a week ago so there is no time anymore to get my rewards... i was honor lvl 5 all checkpoints but yes i got tilted by someone that kept telling me to go fuck myself and go afk so i went afk.

Its very sad that riot puts someone who has been non toxic all year with a lvl 5 honor to honor 0 2 weeks before the season ends with no way to gain anything back for his rewards he worked all year for after one accident wich in my opninion i have seen ppl getting away with alot more...

EDIT: i got i wrong i'm lvl 1, but sadly still no way to get back to lvl 2 in time

typing kys even accidentally or out of context gets you bot-banned like immidiately but it might not "count" for your honor since its a low quality bot ban

like I said I have never and will never type "kys" so that shouldn't be a causation. My issue is with the sudden honor 5 after finishing the chat restriction. I swear I was only honor level 2 before the chat restriction.

i mean you could send a ticket/report the bug...and morally should...but totally up to you ;)

I would.

If there was an error (and chat restrictions do reduce honor, so there was an error of some nature), then not getting this addressed could potentially cause them to not gain honor, keydrops, or the end of season rewards.

I had something weird like this too, I was banned in february and then about a month later I jumped from honour level 0 to 4 for the weekend then back to honour 0

Best to let Riot know. They may give you a pass and let you keep honor 5 since the issues may be on their end. If you say nothing the system may just auto correct itself in the coming days
