My first post: Reported for "Offensive Language" -- but never used profanity/insults

Hi all. I've read the forums plenty of times, but this is my first post on here. Long story short, I was playing on aram and our support got extremely upset that I was requesting a different play style than she had in mind. I simply asked us to stay by turret. Then she comes back with, "Report [Champ]". Posts that to /all. Because I was suggesting something different for a few minutes to quickly end the game. After that, her friend also said "Report [Champ]" to everyone -- both times telling /all to report me. I asked her in /all to give a reason for why they wanted to report me, and they never responded. Near the end of the game, the support called me a f---- retard and her friend said i was a f----- idiot, etc. I never once used profanity nor did I call names to anyone. But I ended up getting an "Offensive language" report at the end.

TL;DR Got called names by two people who reported me for Offensive Language, even though I hadn't insulted them nor called them any names or used profanity at all during the entire game.

Question: Should the system be designed to be intelligent enough to know when someone isn't using offensive language at all?...

Would it be that hard for the system to, when it got a report, to automatically check my message history, and if I hadn't used any offensive language or profanity, to reject the report and lower the reputation of that user's next report?

It's idiotic that I got dinged for stuff I never said. I can get a little aggressive some games, but definitely wasn't at all this game. The report was BS.

The message is automated it doesn't mean you actually did anything. If you did nothing wrong you have nothing to worry bout.

When you get that popup it just means you've been reported more than average lately. The reports haven't yet been validated, but they will be once you get too many. At that point, the system will throw out all the false reports and they won't count against you, and those people will lose weight in their reports. If you've done nothing wrong then you have nothing to worry about.

However, what they did were entirely punishable offenses. Calling to report other people is harassment itself. Also good to know is that mass reporting has no extra value over one in a single match; punishment is calculated per match, not per report.

Like others have said the pop-up only shows up if the system notices a spike in reports against you (i.e. higher than what is normal for you). It's to basically tell you to make sure that you're keeping your behavior in check, that's all. As for the reports themselves, as long as you know that you've done nothing wrong (i.e. you're not intentionally being a jerk) then the only ones who will get punished are the false reporters and not you.

It's a common occurrence. As long as you didn't actually DO anything wrong, Riot will not punish you.
