So I got banned because people hopped on the report train

About an hour ago I was playing a game as Katarina support and did bad, like really bad, won't lie about that I went like 2-14 at the end of the game I believe but it wasn't intentional, just a bad game. I was getting abuse from 2 members of my team the majority of the game and I'll admit I kinda strung them along because they were getting mad at me and raging simply because of my out of meta pick which isn't reportable, but I was never abusive in any way and the Vayne was able to get my whole team to bandwagon and report me and get me a 10 game chat ban, which I find laughable, I didn't even know you could get an automated chat ban if you were reported by 4 people but it happened. I was wondering if a member of Riot could review the chat logs and tell me what exactly I did wrong if I was actually toxic at one point in the game, even though I truly don't believe I was and if they deem me to have been falsely reported to lift the chat ban.

I would recommend posting your chat logs so people can identify where you were abusing the chat. That being said, you didn’t get a chat ban because you were reported by four people. The system could not care less how many people report - it only takes one report. If you do not abuse chat, you can get 9 reports every game and not be punished.

With demonstrably zero intent to actually play your assigned role, judging by your item build and CS, you're lucky that you only got dinged for your chat violations.

I can accept that your ridiculously bad KDA was earned honestly and wasn't the result of intentional feeding, but your entire approach to this game utterly shit on your team's chances of winning. You've damned your team to zero vision, zero supporting abilities, and an under-farmed ADC. And if, in addition to that, you truly "strung along" your team in chat, then you're nothing but a troll. I can't imagine why you'd expect sympathy from us for a chat restriction when you carry yourself like this.

You'd need to post your chat log from the message if you wanted a second opinion on there, but it's worth mentioning that number of reports doesn't matter. One single report will flag the game to be looked at, extra reports do nothing.

That said:

It looks like you know you did something you shouldn't have. If you posted the chat log, we could narrow down on what.

I can actually agree with both sides of the spectrum.

You did feed and picked a "troll-ish" support, so no wonder you got flamed right? I've heard from different discussions that troll stuff can get banned. I don't know for sure though. You also supposedly "strung em on" so there's that.

But you did try to have fun and play the game. Any champion can work for a support but anything other than the norm can be called troll. I sort of think it's troll but at the same time it isn't. You died a lot this game, that can be considered trolling because you didn't get support items, picked a actual normal support, etc. If you did well it wouldn't be called troll, but since ya' know this was not the greatest game, you got reported.

Just deal with it... We can't do much. Katarina

I didnt get the chat logs emailed to me and I didnt even get an onscreen notification, I figured out i had a chat ban when I was in my next game.
