Yehiko, your League of Legends account has been suspended

Hello, sorry guys for posting this kind of stuff, but its pretty important for me, so bare with me. Almost 2 weeks I got that e-mail, saying my account (this one) got permanent suspension. Now, if you go through the chat logs, all of them, all of my games, nowhere you can find me being racist, homophobic, xenophobic or offensive towards a certain religion or minority. What you may find is me dropping the "F" word, calling someone an "idit" or a "ret*d". But these are in cases where I have been offended myself. In "EUNE" (maybe other servers too) its not rare for people to tell you to commit suicide and wish you or your family all kind if deadly diseases and other nasty stuff. In those cases i might get a little over frustrated and drop those words. I know that I should just mute them, but I couldn't hold myself. Now, i can just make a new account or buy one or whatever, but the thing is, this account is pretty important to me. Not because I've wasted money on it or something, but for other reasons. First of all I've played this game since season 3, and in total i played on this account for almost 5000 hours. Now that's a lot. This account and this game got me through a lot of stuff and hard times, so this account feels like a "HOME" to me. I hope you understand what i mean. At last, if you think that I have been a bad player, a toxic one, and offended people of this community, then I want to say SORRY, Sorry to the entire community for my behavior in the past. Also, sorry for making this post a little long. Thanks for your time though. Let me know in the comments, what do you think?

yeah, thats funny :D , but the reason i said it is, i was alistar support, that was my last game in that account, i had an adc sivir, she wanted just to farm, so i started roaming mid and top to help them, i got some kills and burnt some summoners, while adc died 2-3 times. she said: "Report alistar for playing supp like a jungler" so i thought that is a stupid reason to report and wont do anything... but apparently it did...

4 tier punishment system

  1. 10 game chat ban
  2. 25 game chat ban
  3. 14-day ban
  4. permaban

You were on the last tier of punishment (they told you in your 14-day ban email), you ignored their warnings and continued with the same attitude, next punishment came and now you are permabanned.

Will you start to shut up with that Kei143? I see you on every post saying the same bs that isn't worth our time. Please do us a favor and go play and stop going on forum. You obviously don't understand that people change their behavior and never thinks they are gonna get banned for what they say, if they would, they would change even more but they aren't getting the chance for it. Nobody has ever gotten banned of any other game before so they don't see the intensity of these chat rules and teenage protect (perfect world without anyone telling you your bad, everyone is good and successful)

They don't change their behavior cos they don't understand the system.

If it was more obvious that their next punishment is a permaban, they'd probably change (from using idi&t & f&ggot to a passive aggressive behavior, which will still get them banned).

Understand what the OP is saying, hes saying that he is punishment worthy, but doesn't think its worth a permaban. Which means he doesn't understand the system.

Now that we are clear on that, please excuse me while I queue up for my oh so good bronze games.

^This right here I agree 100% with ^ ...and no I don´t think you deserved any kind of ban for talking back to someone who just wished cancer upon your entire family.

Seen a few people that solicit false reports on people under the pretense of racist chat where there was none. Reporter-type trolls that would lie about someone that they least liked or harassed already and say they were using the n-word.

Might be possible some are gaming the system. When I reviewed a few tribunal cases this actually happened.

Thats a problem, especially if there are premade groups who report... they need to make a daily limit for reports, and if your reports actually were correct, you get your right to report again once for every correct report.

The punishments are determined by the recidivism, not the gravity of the infraction. You may or may not agree with this approach, but it is the one Riot uses and they have always made this information public.

As much as I think, riot failed again here. You shouldn't deserve any bans for that. I ask anyone here if they can find any other game in the world where you would perma ban a account involving cash for this chat log, you won't ever find one on the planet. Riot as fucked pretty hard and doesn't want to address the issue. I'm sorry it happened to you, many victims nowadays and it's a fucking shame as it's one of the best game in the world, led by amateur staff who thinks they can teach people respect by disrespecting them directly.

The problem is, i dont know how to get someone from riot to help me here, their support team is pretty biased and are not wishing to understand my position. they even brought up chat logs from before my 14 day suspension. i told them, that is a different case, i took a ban for that, and i learnt my lesson, now for this i dont deserve a perma ban. they disclose my ticket and not listen. I don't know what to do. i play on another account, i cant do it. i dont feel the same..... i had this name since my frist game on the internet from 2005 or before. it was always the same name. now i lost it..... and pretty much everyone whom i ask says its not deserved, reddit said it, now you guys. i need help......

Well at that point if you have been getting many warnings about your behavior you should have just flat out /mute all and just pinged. If you were on their radar for PREVIOUS problems you should have just kept your month/fingers to yourself. Sorry for the harsh reality but sometimes you have to learn the hard way.

I did that, i played a game where i muted my team mates because at the start of the game they were pretty negative about the game, saying we will lose, so i thought they would just flaem and stuff.... but and the end screen... 4 of them reported me for refusing to communicate. so i was scared to get banned so i stopped doing that.

I don't see any reason why you should go out of your way to complain to your teammates about smurfing. I'm sure no one wants to hear this kind of thing when they queue up for a game, they likely just want to play without any chat shenanigans.

I'm not saying it's significantly out of line, but it's something to consider. It's not surprising for Riot to punish someone for this kind of thing once you look at a few of their posts that say "why X player was banned". They actually do look at more than racism, homophobia, slurs, offensive language and the like. That much has been confirmed.

Alright, you were nice at first but then all hell broke loose. Let me point things out here: You asked for reports- counts as harassment, reportable You were increasingly negative towards others Time played doesn't matter Muting should be a last resort, not a requirement- Lyte said if you have to mute damage has been done

Also, have you had any past punishments? If you last had a 14-day ban, then yea this would do it. On its own it isn't bannable, but when you are in the last straw patience has worn thin.

saying "report X player" is reportable? damn it, never knew it. thanks for clearing that out. i guess now you can say every single player i've played with could've been reported and even banned since S3.

The chat was a tad negative.. but back in the Tribunal days.. I would have voted Pardon.. So based on this one chat log.. No I dont believe you deserved a ban... But I assume there were other, previous logs?

this is why i feel like riot should step away from their "4stepsolution" and analyze every single person who is getting punished. i mean you werent even verbal abusing them. i could understand if you praised the holocaust or if you used racist phrases but that is not the fact. the only thing that is fact is, that you got annoyed by 2 people who pretended to be smurfing. after it showed that they are just straight up bad you got tilted which happens to me aswell. i think in that cases chatrestrictions would be a much better solution since you dont harass your mates in an offensive way (at least in my opinion, i know there are people who will argue against that heavily). i am not saying that you have positive impact on the team moral but i dont think that you are that toxic that you deserve a permaban. but riot doesnt care and hopes you bought enough skins with juicy rp :)

Yes, i agree with you, i think chat ban would've been a better suspension for me. Also, to be honest, i personally know a person who does say those nasty stuff and hasn't got any bans yet. And the main reason i was so negative in that game is because i was very tilted, if you look at my match history, that was like a few games into a somewhat big losing streak.

Well, Riot DOES care about player health, and that is why they put in this system. They don't do individual punishments because that would only cause minor toxicity to spread. A scaling system let's you know "Hey, you are toxic, fix yourself before you get in trouble again!". Riot also does care excessively for the players- See Riot Lyte and Riot Tantram. They have many times stepped in to help innocent players AND smite the guilty ones.

Here's the deal. You didn't get banned just for this chat log. I definitely feel these chat logs shouldn't be enough to get you a permanent ban (although you did start to get into the chat battle back at people who were flaming which isn't a good idea. The point being that this chat log was enough to push you over the edge into permaban territory.

You mentioned in one of your comments that you did get a 14 day ban and you feel that doing receiving that punishment should make up for those faults, but you have to think about this from Riot's perspective. They're looking for people that consistently losing their cool. They see the "punishments" as not really punishments but warnings to let you know that what you're doing isn't ok with them. Chat restrictions are a friendly way of helping you limit how much you argue with others. A 14 day ban is "think on this for a while, and if you don't seriously stop this it won't just be a few days", and if they keep seeing that things haven't really changed then it's time to move on to a perma. There are really very few "true" toxic players, but rather people who lose their cool easily and with a few in one game things escalate beyond the normal level.

So people who tell others to go kill themselves get banned pretty quickly, people that show consistently edgy behavior get warnings but are headed inevitably to the same end. So I can see why Riot hasn't been on your side in this one. I'm sorry it had to come to this
