Yehiko, your League of Legends account has been suspended

Hello, sorry guys for posting this kind of stuff, but its pretty important for me, so bare with me. Almost 2 weeks I got that e-mail, saying my account (this one) got permanent suspension. Now, if you go through the chat logs, all of them, all of my games, nowhere you can find me being racist, homophobic, xenophobic or offensive towards a certain religion or minority. What you may find is me dropping the "F" word, calling someone an "idit" or a "ret*d". But these are in cases where I have been offended myself. In "EUNE" (maybe other servers too) its not rare for people to tell you to commit suicide and wish you or your family all kind if deadly diseases and other nasty stuff. In those cases i might get a little over frustrated and drop those words. I know that I should just mute them, but I couldn't hold myself. Now, i can just make a new account or buy one or whatever, but the thing is, this account is pretty important to me. Not because I've wasted money on it or something, but for other reasons. First of all I've played this game since season 3, and in total i played on this account for almost 5000 hours. Now that's a lot. This account and this game got me through a lot of stuff and hard times, so this account feels like a "HOME" to me. I hope you understand what i mean. At last, if you think that I have been a bad player, a toxic one, and offended people of this community, then I want to say SORRY, Sorry to the entire community for my behavior in the past. Also, sorry for making this post a little long. Thanks for your time though. Let me know in the comments, what do you think?

4 tier punishment system

10 game chat ban
25 game chat ban
14-day ban
permaban

You were on the last tier of punishment (they told you in your 14-day ban email), you ignored their warnings and continued with the same attitude, next punishment came and now you are permabanned.

Seen a few people that solicit false reports on people under the pretense of racist chat where there was none. Reporter-type trolls that would lie about someone that they least liked or harassed already and say they were using the n-word.

Might be possible some are gaming the system. When I reviewed a few tribunal cases this actually happened.

As much as I think, riot failed again here. You shouldn't deserve any bans for that. I ask anyone here if they can find any other game in the world where you would perma ban a account involving cash for this chat log, you won't ever find one on the planet. Riot as fucked pretty hard and doesn't want to address the issue. I'm sorry it happened to you, many victims nowadays and it's a fucking shame as it's one of the best game in the world, led by amateur staff who thinks they can teach people respect by disrespecting them directly.

I don't see any reason why you should go out of your way to complain to your teammates about smurfing. I'm sure no one wants to hear this kind of thing when they queue up for a game, they likely just want to play without any chat shenanigans.

I'm not saying it's significantly out of line, but it's something to consider. It's not surprising for Riot to punish someone for this kind of thing once you look at a few of their posts that say "why X player was banned". They actually do look at more than racism, homophobia, slurs, offensive language and the like. That much has been confirmed.

Let me point things out here: You asked for reports- counts as harassment, reportable You were increasingly negative towards others Time played doesn't matter Muting should be a last resort, not a requirement- Lyte said if you have to mute damage has been done

Also, have you had any past punishments? If you last had a 14-day ban, then yea this would do it. On its own it isn't bannable, but when you are in the last straw patience has worn thin.

The chat was a tad negative.. but back in the Tribunal days.. I would have voted Pardon.. So based on this one chat log.. No I dont believe you deserved a ban... But I assume there were other, previous logs?

this is why i feel like riot should step away from their "4stepsolution" and analyze every single person who is getting punished. i mean you werent even verbal abusing them. i could understand if you praised the holocaust or if you used racist phrases but that is not the fact. the only thing that is fact is, that you got annoyed by 2 people who pretended to be smurfing. after it showed that they are just straight up bad you got tilted which happens to me aswell. i think in that cases chatrestrictions would be a much better solution since you dont harass your mates in an offensive way (at least in my opinion, i know there are people who will argue against that heavily). i am not saying that you have positive impact on the team moral but i dont think that you are that toxic that you deserve a permaban. but riot doesnt care and hopes you bought enough skins with juicy rp :)

Here's the deal. You didn't get banned just for this chat log. I definitely feel these chat logs shouldn't be enough to get you a permanent ban (although you did start to get into the chat battle back at people who were flaming which isn't a good idea. The point being that this chat log was enough to push you over the edge into permaban territory.

You mentioned in one of your comments that you did get a 14 day ban and you feel that doing receiving that punishment should make up for those faults, but you have to think about this from Riot's perspective. They're looking for people that consistently losing their cool. They see the "punishments" as not really punishments but warnings to let you know that what you're doing isn't ok with them. Chat restrictions are a friendly way of helping you limit how much you argue with others. A 14 day ban is "think on this for a while, and if you don't seriously stop this it won't just be a few days", and if they keep seeing that things haven't really changed then it's time to move on to a perma. There are really very few "true" toxic players, but rather people who lose their cool easily and with a few in one game things escalate beyond the normal level.

So people who tell others to go kill themselves get banned pretty quickly, people that show consistently edgy behavior get warnings but are headed inevitably to the same end. So I can see why Riot hasn't been on your side in this one. I'm sorry it had to come to this

^This right here I agree 100% with ^ ...and no I don´t think you deserved any kind of ban for talking back to someone who just wished cancer upon your entire family.
