Hello, I'm I don't talk. I was permanently banned for being toxic to my teammates, This was about a year+ ago. I think I've reformed and would like a second chance to summoner 4 back on to the rift. I've appealed my banned and have gotten no where (No surprise Riot takes permanent bans incredibly seriously.) So i had an idea, I was ranked plat 4 when i was banned, Which is the top 6% (or so) Of players playing ranked.

My suggestion: I think it would be relatively fair for all parties involved if let's say I were to coach a bronze player out of bronze and into silver, they then could leave a signature on a sheet you guys would provide, and once a certain amount of signatures are achieved, you guys (Riot staff) can confirm I did my part and I could have my account unbanned. Of course this seems like I'm doing this just for me, Being honest I am. But then again this would help a vast majority of banned players that would be up for something like this (Reformed ones of course).

FAQ: I was low ranked when I was banned how would this benefit me? Helping an unranked player/under level 30 with Runes, Masteries and champion pools is just as important as coaching.

What if they get unbanned and banned again? One time deal. A second chance at life if you would. If you were to get banned again this would NOT get your account unbanned again.

If a murderer was sentenced to a lifetime in jail but began to volunteer and get signatures from his boss, he is still a murderer, and still needs to serve his punishment, whether he has changed or not

Yes i understand that, but this a punishment system for a GAME and what i did was no where near murdering someone.

i think a better way would be to implement more of a scared straight type program. where reformed permabanned players such as you or reaper review "RIP" would be assigned to players who have made it to the 25 game chat restriction step, and helping them reform and by doing the program successfully. you wouldnt get your account back. but could "earn back" things on your new account such as limited edition/victorious skins which you had previously

I thought of this, and the one thing that came to mind is when i got my first chat restriction, nothing anyone could say or do would have change how i acted at the time, someone who is toxic is immature and takes the game too seriously (like myself a year ago). To learn how to not be toxic anymore is a self help kind of thing.

Correct me if I'm wrong but whenever i watch that show at the end it always says "Two weeks later (etc) was caught with possession of weed etc etc". I don't know the exact statistics but I'm almost positive it's incredibly low.

Hmm.. while a nice idea (community service), I don't think the boards is the proper venue to propose this.

Maybe ask.fm or Twitter directly to a behavioral team member or ghostcrawler would work.

Indeed Riot support will tell you that.

They are the first line of defense to filter posts / concerns, their job is to direct people, not making decisions in regards to the behavioral system.

You won't get anywhere asking the community about this.

I suppose it's rather common for people to make somewhat trite replies to this sort of post, saying how banned is banned, and that's all there is to it. And to a certain degree, given the 4-strike system, I suppose that can be "fair." But I think there is something to be said for the concept of reform and rehabilitation. With so much of the player base for league being relatively young (under 30) there is a good deal of personal growth and maturation that happens, in part, due to learning from consequences, such as a ban.

Though your idea does seem to be placing a direct correlation between behavior (yours) and skill (the bronze's), when the two are not necessarily related. It's perfectly possible to play league with good behavior, but bad skill, and still be in accordance with the Code of Conduct. I think you might run into some hesitation about whether previously banned players would end up teaching the bronze players new bad behaviors along with new skills. Also, how would you determine whether a previously banned player was reformed?

I understand that fully, I'm not suggesting i should be unbanned because I'm a better play than the very nice bronze players, what i am saying is basically I want to be like them if i got a second chance so coaching them would teach me even more about being nice while teaching them more about the game. Also yes i do agree, but that's why this is a one time deal yes there would be a few players who get banned again but the amount of players it would help should hopefully negate the amount of players that just wanted one last battlecry.

Well you do talk a lot. I dont know about all those signature stuffs (i dont understand one bit of it ) But if you are willing, you could teach me a thing or two, for free coz i dont know how to repay you back XD

Ironic isn't it? Basically let's say the program i suggested is implemented, I would coach you and once you have reached a desired rank or area of knowledge you want i would give you a link that you just login and click "sign" or something proving i helped you in a manner that was nice yet helpful.

That system would be abuse-able.
Lets say, you ask someone to smurf, and build an account, and he gets to silver (as he should) , that will make you get your account unbanned, for not working at all.

It would be assigned players. (random) Let's say you were to sign up, Riot then will message one of the players using the program to get unbanned and so on. It wouldn't just be anyone that's silver goes to the link and signs in.

Thank you for your response, but please understand that what i am about to say below isn't pointed to you, but the general perma-banned players.

Although it looks like a good idea thus far, permaban peoples are players who have 0 patience. It's like giving a serial killer a babysittying job, and expect him not to kill the defenseless baby. Perma banned players may also troll as a revenge, and mess up new players. (they may say garen is the perfect counter to kalista and so on). Since this is an online game, you can make use of 100 different ways to ruin new players which will be a loss to riot overall. How would you prevent this huge loss?

This might not interest you in any way, but if i were to make an idea i would say - "make the perma banned players pay $1000 or something, and wait for a year, with monthly afk check, if they fail the afk check they will have to restart again from the scratch, "

Yes, you would say that perma banned players will make a new account instead, that is true, but this is for those players who have bought a great deal of stuffs in this game, for example lots of skin and/or hextech items. It's to give them a chance to get back those items they bought on that account.

Plus money makes everyone happy.

There is a 90% chance that the player wont be toxic when he gets his account back after investing so much time and money into it. Also the account will "freeze", and your league tier wont go down unless you are master/challenger. (it wont show up in the ranked list, but you wont drop tiers)

This would affect poor players i know, but i also would wanna warn those endangered players after every match. (like leaverbuster)

Your suggestion sounds fine to me, i can't argue there, but it takes a lot than just skills to teach a player. (again not pointing anything at you). Here i could know all the tips and tricks a league player can have and be challenger player, but that wont necessarily mean i am a good teacher. Plus not all students are the same, some of these new players would feel blessed to have a new teacher, others will be like "man what the hell..." and may wanna play the game for fun and not as second school.

Also i forgot the exact phrase, so ill call it "information overload". Like i said, not all students are the same, some learn things faster while others takes time to get used to things, and most of them hate maths, (which is really important in strategy games such as this). Some diamond/challenger players would dump all the info into these new players all at once which would make them feel dazed and confused. Hell when i joined league i didn't know how to build items, i would never understand if some player said "Brand's abilities set his targets ablaze upon damaging them, dealing 2% their maximum health as magic damage over 4 seconds, stacking up to 3 times, and empowering his abilities against them. The damage against monsters is capped at 320." ---------- I'd prolly be like, "what the hell is a monster, you mean Chogath? he seems like a monster to me" and so on.

Some players may get bored and quit before getting level 18 and wasting their money on useless runes. Some others wont have the necessary time to play, and be online for 2 games per month (usually when you are offline).

Some people learn mistakes only after playing with fire, and getting burnt by it. The number of times i wanted to yell at new players for tower-diving at level 1 is surprisingly high.

While that is true to some extent, i do believe it's okay to discuss the topic since it's absolutely free. Plus i am having a huge lag in game, but just enough internet to be in the forum, and this looked like an interesting topic for me. Thank you for replying back tho, it means a lot to me.
