Trapped in an elo hell... Help...

Oh, hey another huge rant about elo hell coming from a low elo player... Ok, first time doing something like this, never have I ever been in the LoL forums, but I gotta get out my frustration some way... so at the start of the season, I was doing pretty well, in fact after placements, I was placed in bronze 1, in a matter of a week, had a good mmr, so I got really reliable teams, I played my part right as a top laner Poppy main, I quickly got to Silver II. A good friend of mine who was in Bronze IV who is a pretty good top laner asked me to duo with him, I agreed so I could help him out, I went jg cause it was my 2nd prefered role, and it meant hey, easy camp top. This went well for like a day... we won a few matches I got to Silver II promos, lost them, and I was like sure whatever free win next time... boy was I wrong.

The next day, it seemed that we were both stuck in an elo hell winning 1 but losing 2, and just kept on going like that for a good while in sort of a pattern. Through out the time even in games where we dominatingly won we´d get 18 LP at best... he´d get 16 LP, we´d lose more than gain (I used to get around 24 LP). Now, I understand that any whiny kid in low elo will complain about their team, I get it, I get it, I am not the best either, but at least I know not to feed (but I dont know how not feed against already fed champs I find it kinda hard to avoid), but it gets to the point where they are so fed, I start feeding too cause how do you fight something like that? The roams are strong, the tilt is hitting everyone on my team, including me.. And this time it really WAS just the team losing the game for us cause 1. Trolls 2. Toxic af players 3. Feeding almost to the point where you´d think it was intentional...

It got to the point where I stopped playing ranked for a while, it was just too frustrating feeling completely lost in an abyss of an endless elo hell torture, and I have been back and forth in S III-IV currently IV now... good for my friend that he managed to get to SV, but sometimes I can´t help, but think... I´d be gold if I didn´t agree on helping him, cause my mmr DROPPED drastically after queing up with him so much, it wasn´t him, the team lost the game for us leading into my many losses. He WAS in bronze, meaning hey in bronze you get newbie players or trolls, and such.

Been playing solo ranked trying to main jungle which has been improving a bit, but that doesn´t stop my team from playing like monkeys, sometimes I get reliable teams, or sometimes we win through close games, but I hate playing like 3 games, and losing them so hard convincingly by the enemy team. I just don´t think how it´s fair how the matchmaking works, how is there going to be a full enemy team of just good players, with good map awareness, while I get stuck with a team with non of those qualities, even the lane I try to get ahead or got ahead through early game start losing super hard, and throw the lead. It´s like prioritizing a lane in ganks sometimes doesn´t even matter... It shouldn´t be like that, keep the lead going. I make many mistakes myself, rather not feeding, but making wrong choices on who to gank or not to gank, or who I should´ve prioritized, picking a fight with the fed laner or laners, but at that point you just start giving up really, cause once you´re up against either a fed laner or two fed laners, in low elo it´s pretty much gg, low elo doesn´t know how to handle fed laners, much less handle 3 or 2 of them, it´s tough to handle as a team much less solo carrying your team that way...

Cause let´s say in high elo, a Riven top is 3/1/2 a solo kill on a Fiora, and a gank kill, a tp to bot kill, and two assists, I THINK that can be considered pretty ahead by minute 18 in high elo (just an example) cause they can cs properly, and they probably have assists which is important too, Riven has a huge gold lead, but let´s say the Riven was up against a Fiora. That Fiora maybe died to her once in a 1v1, and another through a gank, she is 0/2/2, but guess what? She doesn´t die to Riven again, as tough as it is, Fiora does everything possible to not get Riven further ahead, Fiora manages to keep up with cs only behind by 9 cs. Fiora will stop dying cause she knows she has lost lane, no way she can 1v1 her now, it´s up to another lane to carry, and letting herself get carried is the best way.

Not low elo though, they will keep on dying over, and over, cause they don´t ward, they keep fighting, and do unnecessary risks understandable I get it... either new to the game, or just plain bad/troll etc... my question is why is there a huge gap of difference in teams? If both teams had about the same mmr, there would almost always be close games, but I mostly see nothing but convincingly won games, either in my team or enemy team, and most of the time its the enemy... Deep down I know I don´t deserve such bad members, but when I lose a game, the game is lost HARD, and I end up with a bad score, and makes me look like part of the crowd the ruined the match. Further pushing me lower in the MMR. I feel like the only way out, is to just simply not take unnecessary risks, always try to do good on my own, and let my mmr increase on it´s own through a loss or not... I actually don´t know if my mmr increases through a loss if I was the only one in my team doing good, I imagine it does, if you keep up a good cs count, and positive score. But what about jg? How can their mmr increase on it´s own through a loss so I can STOP getting paired up with such bad teams? I can only imagine by playing smarter, but having two winning lanes on the enemy team gives the jungler such a nice walk through the park, being able to put pressure on me, and the objectives....

Currently in the meta... Junglers are the early deciding factor in placing lanes either ahead or behind. Coupled with correct vision, prediction, and farming... a jungler is the one who can dictate a game from very early on. I don't know really what you are doing in the jungle... but I would assume it is because of you switch to your secondary role. And habits have roled over from that position.

Oh, hey another huge rant about elo hell coming from a low elo player...

The reason why Higher MMR players say MMR hell doesn't exist is because if you are good enough, you can stomp the enemy (most of the time). This means that you can easily get out of bronze, silver, and potentially gold if you are THAT good. Honestly I think the real elo hell is plat.

You have diamonds without the diamond tag. You have a few slightly boosted golds, that aren't quite supposed to be there, but are close. It has a huge attitude problem. Smurfs like to hang out there, and it isn't like in bronze-gold where they are few to far between.

The last thing you have to remember, you aren't your Rank at all roles. You could be a challenger adc, but a silver/gold jungler... ok that is a bit of a stretch, but you could still be a gold jungler, and like a bronze adc...

Also, I don't necessarily want to say this, but your friends could possibly be holding you back as well or vise versa.

To be honest I feel your pain so so much. I also started in Bronze 1 and didn't really care because it was freelo. For me, I thought silver 5 was the most annoying place to be but once i got passed that it was smooth sailing until I got back to GoldV and climbed to Gold 4. I was doing fine until for no appearent reason i started losing. at first I thought it was just oh another loss blah w.e next game. but I kept losing until my MMR messed up and i dropped from Gold 4 with 40-60 lp to Gold 5 with 0 lp and multiple losses. I lost 9 games in a row over the course of 5 days and that my confidence in my play quite a bit.

When I checked and reviewed over the games, sure I didn't always do great and I always looked at what I couldv'e done better, but there were some games where I did everything in my power and just couldnt carry the stupid or the monkey plays. I could have 15 + kills or have a good kda but couldnt offset the feeding bot lane or the top laner who got smashed so hard that they were at inhib turret in 13 mins (Fuck you Illaoi). I was especially upset because as a jungler main I have a lot of influence on what goes down and yet I couldn't do anything no matter how hard i tried to carry (because ultimately unless if you're god level compared to the people you're facing, you're a bit team reliant and that can suck when yu have a teammate who's literally throwing th game).

I say all that to tell you you're not the only one who goes through this. I learned that through my friends and listening to players like QTpie who talked about how he lost 20 games in a row (idk if he's exaggerating but he gets the point across). just like how we get winning streaks, losing streaks happen as well and the only thing we can really do is focus on what went wrong and what I (or you) can do better next game to do better.

another side note is that Dong huap (idk if i spelled his name right or wrong) also made a video about how in each game you have a 25% chance of all three lanes winning or all three lanes losing, and that basically no matter what, there's always a chance that one or more of you're lanes Will lose. (i think it was 50%).

The last thing ill add is a wise man named Trick2g also said that you NEED to be prepared for when people feed and be ready to make up for their stupidity or mistakes or w.e maybe. which is why every game depending on the picks and such I try to go into the game with a gameplan, if tops feeding, ill get bot fed. etc. Camp who i gotta camp, or get myself strong and 1v9 carry. Have a gameplan including for if you're team sucks.

Now does this always work? no. sometimes you can't win a game no matter what because of bad teammates or people int or afk or be toxic. All you can do at that point is just focus on improving, try shot calling for the team, try improving what champs you pick based on the opponents you face etc. These are the things that keep me going when I feel like I'm struggling. Not sure if this helps but that's my experience and what I do about tilting games like that.

Don't say that "My team plays like monkeys" or "I don't get reliable teams." Because you are also part of those monkeys from their perspective

dude you can type as much as you want in forums or chats. you need to become better thats it. me as a d3 player smurfing in bronze/silver/gold or whatever could literally win a game with 1 hand. if i would watch your gameplay i could show you like 1000 mistakes which make you losing the game. focus on yourself and dont watch your team playing. i mean high elo players do it so often. they get themselves a smurf acc. and go with a 30 winstreak into plat or whatever so thats the proof that its just depending on you
