A Happy Change

After taking a 4 week hiatus from league of legends itself in lue of more casual games and other games in general to be able to go back to my root love of games due to the community being so over-competitive and toxic at the time. My 1st game back I expected to receive a lot of criticism and to get heavily flamed but, to my shock, everyone was being very good to each other! I wanted to say thank you to the community as a whole and their ability to become more friendly as a whole.

Even when I play off meta things like Lethality Evelynn or AP Lucian people were just really cool about it and instead of the general attitude of: "You aren't playing _____ meta pick?!?!? You Suck and are the devil!" I was able to enjoy my games with encouragement and support or silence.

Now there are always a few toxic people every few games but, I found it much less common than before, instead of having an angry player being rude to someone in game every game it's now about 1 in 6 games! Well done everyone and you too riot!

I only had problems with toxicity when I was super bad at the game and new, or when I try stupid shit for fun in normies. So idk, it's been better for a couple years now, for me lol. I think toxicity in league is pretty normal as far as online PvP games. The idea that it's the most toxic community ever, I think is just a cliché thing to say. It's a trend that fed itself and grew. Now it's just like an accepted fact, regardless of any improvements, it will always be known as the most toxic community because it's easy to say that and no one can prove it wrong and it makes people feel good that they can all judge and no one's gonna call em out on it.
