Ranked Climbing Concepts and Troofs
My thought boils down to a simple conclusion, people who dont have the ability to consistantly enter a game as 5 teammates, cannot be held 100% accountable for the result of the game based solely on team performance as a whole.
Each person is only physically possibly able to be 20% of that team, so yes, if they come out with a negative score, crap CS for game length, and their team lost, take that 19 LP. But if they had great stats, good CS, and their team honoured them, FFS maybe only take 5? or how about leave them at 0? The same goes for winning teams, if someone has a negative score, crap CS, and got no honour from teammates, why do they get hoisted to the same 21 LP or whichever?
People who hold the team back and are negative, shouldn't get the full 20 LP for a win, and positive friendly players shouldn't lose 20 because people suck. This doesn't reflect that individuals ability in any way and is a complete game.
your system already judges the game and divies out different amounts, why not do it by player not just team. set 4 criteria for LP..... winning/losing = gaining/losing LP....Honoured = 7...positive KDR = 7...More than XX CS/Min = 7....
this way, you win, but suck, you get nothing, you get honoured, you get 7, honour and kills, 14, AND CS 21.
You lose, -21, but you had positive KDR? only -14, And you had CS? only -7, AAAAND people honoured? 0
You get the idea.
The current system is left more to chance, if you have a troll you know youre losing LP and nothing can save your game, even if you FF you lose LP, and if you AFK you get reported. If you manage to have 2/4 lane roles good, you can win and gain LP, but the garbage cans on your team still get your points.
Having your rank reflect both your team ability AND personal game skill, would do a much better job of dividing the game base, as if you focus more on the actual objectives of the game, to win the game, you get LP, but if you do that and also get kills and CS and honour, you cash out and climb quickly because your an awesome dude. On the flip side, if you keep winning but suck balls, it stunts your growth so you can learn either skills or teamwork, with people at your level, and the more parts of the game you have mastered the faster you climb. If youre a good player but lose games, have stats and honour, you dont fall down a bottomless pit, but you definitely dont climb because your team still lost. This would still keep you 1 step above the trash can players who also have the attitude of oscar the grouch, so they can build a salt farm in B5, as the only possible way to get there is never get honoured, have bad CS, have negative scores, and lose games as well.
This would also prettymuch eliminate smurfs and power levelers because the smurf player would get ranked out of helping, or being a low enough rank to be a smurf, very quickly compared to the current system.
