Perhaps a reevaluation could be in order..
ALCON,
So, last night I am playing, as I normally am after work (I work second shift 3pm-11:30pm) and apparently, at least from what I can gather, AT&T decides to do networking maintenance; or maybe working to upgrade the network? It's hard to say for sure, but for whatever reason 3 different times the net went out for like 15-40 mins before I gave up for the night and just went to bed. Now, obviously as a paying customer of AT&T I am quite annoyed that after my day at work I come home to relax and play some league and low and behold AT&T decides to ruin my night.
What does this have to do with the price in China you ask... Well, I wake up in the morning to play and sure enough--Leaver Buster has set in. Now I think I had 2 games where I was DCd and didn't come back due to outages.. but the first time it was only down for like 10-15 mins...We had a lead in that game and when I came back in.. we actually won the game. The other 2 games however, I was unable to reconnect.
That means, I got trolled first by AT&T with their network outages.. which when I looked at the US outage map it was like every major city in the US.. Thanks for that AT&T. But I also got trolled by Riot Games' Leaver Buster System which apparently doesn't take in to account the amount of games I've played over the past 6 years and how it is a cold day in that hot region it never gets cold in before I surrender / leave a game as an upset individual. I'm the guy that never wants to surrender in a game--much to some people's dismay.
All that to say. I am a paying customer of both AT&T and Riot Games (as I've spent at least.. i don't know-what $700+ over the past 6 years on this game). A pretty big disappointment. I would truly like to see some reworks to the Leaver Buster System that takes account of all conditions of the account holder before handing out things that make your customers unhappy--especially when we are all at the mercy of our ISPs.
