RIOT Fix YOur Community

Before I played League of Legends, the person who introduced me to this game said that the community can be toxic, but I had no idea it has the worse gaming community. I have played other games too, and there are also toxic players, I suppose there's not a game that doesn't have rage quitters, flamers, trolls, etc. but nothing can compare to how toxic the LoL community is. And the worse part is everyone seem to be proud that they are most vile community. Somehow people think that if you aren't flaming, trolling, etc you aren't thick skinned or you aren't ready for a game like LoL. Personally, I think that mindset alone is a problem. No wonder this game isn't consider a sport. This game isn't promoting sportsmanship, it's producing rude and arrogant people. Even the pros are toxic, I would even say that the whole enterprise itself is toxic. When you watch competitive games the casters clearly have no problem saying that some of the pros are flaming on their teammates. Heck they probably are toxic themselves. Some of the youtubers I have watched are just the same, with the exception of a few. The forums are full of people fighting over each other, calling names, bashing, etc. Literally nothing in this game promotes teamwork. If any of the players here are athletes they know how flaming on your OWN teammates while in a match will only lead you to loosing the game, and that you are NOT trying to make someone better by telling them to "STFU" or "kill yourself" or "I hope you get cancer", it's not constructive at all. It's plain rudeness no matter what angle you look at it. I have zero respect for people who are like this. I hate this community, and it brings out the worse in humanity, in myself. I have stopped playing League in a while and my life is better. I will promote how toxic this community is and hopefully people realize that there are better games out there to play that one doesn't necessarily have to flame/troll just to feel better, or just to think that they're good at something. Because after all it's just a game. It's really nothing more than that. I will keep on discouraging people from playing this game, and trust me I know a lot who have quite already, and are doing juuust the same thing as me. So I hope Riot proves me wrong, and actually promote how a team game should be played.

Install replay system, so trolls can actually be banned. People are getting pissed because of the trolling in ranked gameplay, tilting them, causing toxicity. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/ThEkBWLR-riot-please?comment=000100000000. Riot removed my post and told me to use the report system for the trolls, which I did. I waited 2 hours, then posted the post in this link. Riot removed it telling me to use the in-game report system. Too bad didn't get dat silver 1! Tried my ass off to carry the game wit gp and tristana. RIP

It's more than just the players trolling or being toxic, it's WHY they are trolling and being toxic. We all know that Riot's punishment system is really flawed, there have been a million times that I have just kept my cool and mute everyone in game as soon as the name calling starts and I still get reported for "playing bad". I think there shouldn't be that option. If you're playing bad, you aren't suppose to report someone, you're suppose to teach him how to play it correctly-- not by calling him/her names. If you're a good player you're not suppose to blame others, you're suppose to help them. I think that is what Riot should be doing. How else are you going to be a better player if no one teaches you? I just feel that the game itself has more tools on promoting toxic players than reducing them.

No one can stop the toxicty the community has. League has a large population since it has many players the community has many different players. Posting a thread won't change much the community is toxic and will always be every game has a toxic player no matter how hard it is to keep our community's attitude positive there will always be a person who is toxic.

Well, at least I am doing something about it. Just accepting that that is the norm is why there is no change at all.

I don't think you realize how bad some people want to win. Consider how much they want to win with the amount of teamwork required to play this game, it's no surprise that people blame others. Not saying that I support this behavior in any way, but it's expected.

I don't think you realize that the more you flame on others the lesser your chances of winning the game. I have been a captain of my varsity team in University, and the one thing that you never do is shout at someone in game. When people are demoralize they don't tend to cooperate. I'm a very competitive person myself, so trust me I know how to play/perform under pressure. Flaming or being toxic or sabotaging your team isn't the way to win a game. Flaming/trolling/rage quitting is never an excuse for anyone to be competitive, it's more of a poor show of one's manners and conduct.

Are you serious? How can you even compare blaming others IRL and blaming people on a VIDEO GAME? Completely unrealistic expectation buddy.
