Bot Programs In-game

Ok, It seems to me that Riot is not doing a good job with the Report players program and need to be elevated to a more hands on approach. I have witnessed a lot of users with weird names in the twisted treeline and all random all mid game modes to where there is these so called AI programs controlling users so they can accumulate free EXP and IP points without having to lift a finger. This is getting out of hand when games are one sided as i just witnessed my girlfriend as she was playing Twisted Treeline and there was an entire team of real players vs her and 2 AI controlled players. And frankly it's putting a sour taste in her mouth as she has been reporting each and every bot programmed AI player she see's. I'm trying to get her to level 30 to be able to play with me and to where we have something fun in common to do but it's putting her off and frankly I'm sick of it. I have spent a lot of money to this company and will gladly spend more for her to have the coolest champion skins and stuff but it's kinda hard seeing this and not notice and recognition like back in the old days with the Summoner Tribunals to where the players had more control and it felt like things are actually getting done!

Please Find a solution to this problem because it's getting way out of hand as she has seen nothing but these bot AI controlled players her entire time and I'm afraid it's not gonna help her get to be a better player and Will Ruin this awesome game which i have come to love as i want her to love it as well.

That's not the point. It's not just Twisted Treeline that these 3rd party bot programs are at. the fact of the matter is that it's giving people power to make accounts and then turn around and sell them and earn money which they did no work to make and rob new players who are lazy to learn the game properly easy access to high ranks in ranked modes. There are many sites that sell LoL accounts and should be taken down and these 3rd party AI programs should be removed with much more strict punishment such as possible IP bans to root out the culprits from making more acccounts.

yeah but ever since Dominion is gone they send their bots to TT to get Exp and IP.

the thing is that Riot needs to come up with an automated system that can clearly detect a bot from a new player.

to players it might seem obvious what a bot is and what not, but coding an system that can clearly detect a bot and ban them automated without a mistake is another thing.

I think this needs to be addressed and taken care of. I am this players Girlfriend and would like to see a more clean game to play with actual people. The 3rd party AI programs are infesting the low level players and alot of people like this so they can get free EXP to level up there accounts and Free IP to get stuff. You people who keep voting this down and not really caring about your community are fools and slackers as I like to earn my stuff with hard work and to learn this game better and meet new friends to enjoy this with.Caitlyn

I used to see bots heavily around April-July, then they sent out a banwave and I really didn't see them much. I stopped playing for a while, came back around October and it seems they are back... some of them now don't even use abilities or attack enemy champions the entire game. They will loop between turrets and minions (not attacking) then walk back to allied turret and recall. It's no surprise they end the game with ~1000 damage dealt, while everyone else has well over 20K

Do you have a point or are you just an asshole? He's mad because bots can easily ruin the low level experience.

Bots are a huge problem in this game. Botting in other games like WoW doesn't matter as much cause it's that persons personal account getting a benefit while not screwing over anyone else, while in LoL they can mess up your game just by being absent. This type of problem is really bad for MOBAs, especially with the trash AI some of these people are writing, some of the bots will just turret dive over and over and won't even attack the whole game.

I know lots of new players, and some of them get swarmed by bots so much they lose motivation to keep reporting them.

Why didn't you make a smurf to play with her? If I bring someone new into the game I always make sure to make a new account and get them to level 15 so they understand the game.

Because that ruins the game for his team who has to be with someone completely new and it does nothing to solve the problem of botting.

The last month its gotten so bad it isn't worth playing co-op vs AI. There are 2-3-4 autoplay bots every match. My last 3-4 games have had 3-4 bots and I lose the match, get frustrated and log off. Amazing that Riot does nothing about this. I think its time to go back to DOTA or find a new game. Too bad.
