Permabanned for this? Seriously?

Yes I know the first thing that's going to be said to me is that this isn't my first offensive, but I've been trying really hard to work on not being such a douche and toxic. But these are the chat logs from the matches than triggered my perma banned and I don't understand why I would be perma'd for this? In the first set of chat logs my team started raging at me from the champ select (which you can't see) because I wanted to play Brand support (in normals) and they said Brand isn't a support and tried to force me to another lane. My adc troll picked Pantheon because I picked brand support and for the entire game they were toxic and rude to me all because I played Brand support and we weren't doing so hot bot lane (maybe cause we also had a panth adc?)

And in the 2nd chat logs I called Urgot an ugly crab.... which he reported me for...

Was I just banned because everyone on my team decided to report me just for playing Brand support? Because that's the reason for the report from the first set of chat logs...

Is there no way to get unbanned and be given one last chance? I should of disabled my chat a long time ago but I would do that if given another chance.. I've put so much money into this account and it's all I have.

Discounting the ugly crab comment, the above is what probably did you in. Insulting your teammates (and to a lesser extent telling everyone how toxic your team is) is not acceptable behavior, and if you had previous offenses -- especially a 14-day ban, which means a last warning -- this would definitely push you over the edge.

So I'm not allowed to tell my team how toxic they are? I wish I could post the chat logs from my team... I mean the things they were saying to me all because I wanted to play Brand support... they all deserved a ban.

What's the benefit of it? There are more productive ways to accomplish that same end goal, and it does nothing but add fuel to the fire. As such, it's an unwise decision at best, and, when done too often, begins to border on harassment.

That said, it's the least of your issues in that log -- the insults directed at your team are the bigger problem, and the bigger reason for the punishment.

I wish I could post the chat logs from my team... I mean the things they were saying to me all because I wanted to play Brand support... they all deserved a ban.

And if you reported them the system will look at their behavioral history and apply a punishment or strike towards a punishment, as appropriate for their individual punishment history.

So you think I deserved a perma banned for what I said in these logs? I mean is League this PC now? I feel like I'm in a college liberal arts class where no one wants their feelings hurt or they safe space invaded... I mean why does League even give you the option to mute players if they're gonna perma ban you for hurting someone feelings?

I feel you deserved a punishment. Permanent bans can be earned by severity of the behavior, but they can also be earned by failing to reform your behavior sufficiently after warnings. It seems you have received at least a few warnings in the past, which means that you would have received your 14-day ban and the accompanying final warning. The fact that you returned to insulting your team makes me feel the next step was appropriate, if unfortunate.

Not wanting to be insulted during time spent doing a leisure activity isn't a "safe space." It's the same principle you'd expect at a movie theater, coffee shop, or most leisure spaces. People who abuse, harass, and insult people they don't know are asked to leave those places, because the company knows that a respectful and fun environment is conducive to a happy customer base.

Because the mute button exists as a way for innocent players to avoid toxicity if they are forced to encounter it. It does NOT exist to ENABLE toxicity, and it's existence is not an appropriate excuse for toxicity. If your behavior is forcing others to avoid communication in a team game because your communication is abusive or insulting, the onus is on YOU to change your behavior to one that is accepted by the community, to leave the community, or to be forced out of the community.

....and in let's say movie theaters, other patrons don't wave pieces of paper before your eyes so you can't watch the movie or repeatedly moan in your ear so you can't hear the dialogue. surely, the company would ask anyone who trolls other patrons to leave or even have them arrested? not so in league of legends

What does not flaming have to do with being PC? If anything, feeling the need to retaliate when it accomplishes nothing seems pretty thin-skinned.

Step one: Remove yourself from the toxic situation (mute them) Step two: Report them at the end of the game

If you are reported, and there is nothing in the chat that is negative, there is no chance for you to be penalized.

No. You are not. You are to mute, report and move on. You responding is fighting fire with fire. Not constructive and yeah, will get you banned if you were on a 14 already.

I literally just wrote an entire thread about this. It doesn't matter if they also deserve to be banned. You were caught and your punishment is entirely justified because you probably have gotten multiple 14 day bans and this last report was the final straw. You deserve your punishment regardless of what the other team did.

Toxic/griefing/feeding team made me become toxic, so why am I banned/suspended and they arent?

Yes, I'm saying you were toxic. The lesson you were supposed to learn from your previous punishments was to not use the chat for dumb arguments and flaming, which these logs are examples of.

Muteall exists for a reason. Your first mistake was engaging them in conversation, especially when you were just -- for some reason, deciding to respond in a toxic manner to their own toxicity. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Yes, I can see this as a reason to get banned. If you want any opportunity at getting unbanned, speaking with the support team. Coming to the community won't do anything.
