This Leaver Buster is too Harsh T-T

As you read the title, you are thinking, "that is one salty man." you are certainly right. I am filled with 100% Salt and here's why: I have an extremely busy schedule, during the usual weeks, I cannot fight my glorious League of Legends into my daily life style. All the times I would be able to play one of my favorite pass times is doing the usual vacations like the Summer or, currently, winter break. The weather during this (and last) year has been insane for the winter... and I had to face the music. Played a match when suddenly BAM! the notorious screen saying I had to reconnect popped up. My router is that of one that needs about 10-20 minutes before I can connect to the internet, and waiting was certainly painful. I finished the match (in defeat, who would have guessed?) and was faced with a message no player wants, what no MLG guy can fathom. "Low Priority Queue."

In this devastating event, you are forced to sit at your computer, no browsing the shop, no checking the LOL News nor messaging fellow friends... Just a glorious useless window. If you leave to do something, they automatically throw you into queue and without warning, make you go through it AGAIN and AGAIN. The wait time is even worse when you need to repeat this. A easy "Surrender @ 20" game starts to last 40 minutes and an unenjoyable splatter fest of and hour long struggle becomes a much longer, more brutal defeat.

The system is certainly punishing and I do deserve my Low Priority queue, but during the breaks where I love to play my sweat, seat league of legends, I cannot lose time. The Low Priority queue has dragged me away from League for the rest of the time I have in my break. Thank you Riot (Rito) for your remarkable game and I enjoyed it, but I shall not play it for a long time. -DEG

P.S. To all of those new players still trying to level up to 30: I wish you luck and I leave you with the most useful advice within any MOBA: Watch your time and respect it.

I totally agree. Sure, Leavebuster can be harsh for ranked games, but this is total overkill for randoms. A car crashed into a telephone pole and took out my power this week. I couldn't finish the game I was in, and now I have a 20 minute leavebuster. I haven't played league in over a month because I don't have time for a 20 minute que followed by a one hour game.

I don't even understand why there is a low priority queue for normal games. I can understand ranked low priority queues but normal games are supposed to be "just for fun and leveling up".

So why can't I leave a game that I'm clearly not enjoying (Down by 10-20 kills @ 20 but lasts longer because my team won't surrender).

The logic makes absolutely no sense.

Funny thing is, leaver buster hits people that DC. The people who actually afk out of anger just sit in fountain and occasionally move around to not get hit with it, and idk if reporting busts them with it the first time like just sitting there and being flagged naturally would.

Playing League is like driving a car. You're supposed to pay attention to the road. Not putting on your makeup, talking on your cellphone, writing up your grocery list, or drinking your latte. Same with League. When you queue up and the game starts, you're supposed to play the game. Not chatting with your neighbor, reading CNN.net, shaving, or dusting the living room mantle. If you don't participate, the game will remove you because participation is REQUIRED. Most competitive functions require participation. A pitcher on a baseball team that refuses to pitch the ball is eventually going to be pulled off the field. A football team that doesn't hike the ball is going to get penalties that cost them field movement.

League involves some time commitment. Because the game can potentially go for half an hour or more, if you don't have the time to dedicate to it, don't play. There are some other MOBAs out there that don't require such a time lock. HotS is the first I can mention. Games there don't go beyond the twenty minute mark that frequently.

So, participate or be removed. Keep refusing to participate because you want to do something else and Riot will solve the problem for you by making you unable to play at all.
