AFK system?

3 out of 15 games that I have played I have an afker of over 5 minutes and many times they are afk the rest of the game. They receive a slow queue slap on the wrist and I lose 17-21 lp, why is the system in place? Is anything being looking into regarding this? Why can't the system make the resulting afker lose LP and the other 4 players lose 0 while the winning team gains their LP normally? It is seriously making ranked unenjoyable to play. The option everyone will clearly say is just stop playing then but why should I have to stop playing a game I enjoy but am not enjoying based on a system that is unjust that is implemented in the game? I want to resolve the issue not just leave league of legends.
