Rito's punishment is intolerant and ignorant of those with severe mental disorders/sick ppl

Since last year, I have been prescribed the steroid of Dianabol to combat my HIV from turning into AIDS. As an anabolic steroid, it naturally increases testosterone, making me prone to anger, and aggravating my bipolar symptoms. I literally cannot help it due to biology and medication that is prolonging my life.

To the PRIVILEGED decision makers at Riot, there is no leniency however, and rather than have people just use an easy to make mute restriction, prefer to treat it's player base like tattle tale second graders, FURTHERING the internal view of toxicity and enhancing it's effects. I don't expect any change, Riot clearly values the added income of people buying XP boosts when making new accounts, but for the love of god acknowledge your ignorance and check your privilege

A couple of things:

  1. Riot doesn't have any proof or in fact any knowledge of you illnesses. There is no way that you can prove this short of physically showing up at their office with paperwork. If Riot started making accommodations based on mental illness, they'd go bankrupt because of the sheer amount of manpower required to classify and find solutions for all of the potential mental disorders that they don't accommodate. It is a virtual impossibility to baby proof the Internet for people, so you either learn to better control your mental state or you remove yourself from the situation entirely. This is all on you, and heaping it onto a company (of which playing their game is a 100% first world privilege) is irrational.
  2. You don't have any rights to request this. You signed a Terms of Service by hitting the "I accept" button, a ToS which included a clause that requires players to behave with civil written language in the public chat spaces provided by Riot games. If you read that knowing you had difficulty controlling your civility in public chat spaces, then this is again, all on you. You can't violate a very plainly and clearly spelled out rule and then play the victim card when you get punished. The world doesn't work like that. It would be privileged if it did.
  3. In your circumstances, rather than play the victim and claiming oppression, why don't you take better efforts to take control of youself instead of trying to divert the responsibility for your problems on others? You can take counseling, you can go on specific diets, you can take any amount of supplements that can assist you in levelling your behavior. If you do not take efforts to help yourself, you are very out of line in expecting the "privileged" to extend special privileges to you on account of you being incapable of moderating yourself. Even if you cannot moderate your anger, there are viable solutions to expressing it that don't get you banned. Scream in a pillow, beat the stuffing out of a bear, even write down your angry remarks on a sheet of paper; regardless of what you can do, there are ways to express anger without bringing it into the game. You have safe options available, and yet if you still opt to bring this negative behavior into the game, then as I've said, it's all on you.

So because you can't control yourself, Riot is the one at fault?

Every part of your post feels like it came from tumblr. Also wtf is check your privilege? Also if your rage is so bad that you can't just not type, you should probably get other meds to even it out.

As usual, Beta Riot employees too afraid to defend themselves. Expect a lawsuit soon

just don't use chat. tell your team early on that you will not be using it(better yet mute them and tell them) be responsible for your own temperament (biology based or not). it is not riot's fault, it is not the community's fault if they don't like anger in their games. you are aware of this and aware of how your treatment affects you. just mute them all, it's not their responsibility to mute you.

also what i'm describing is not privilege as much as it is a right/following riot's code of conduct.

I am terribly sorry to hear what you are going through and hope you get better! But tbh for people who have anger issues or any other mental issues then those people should probably not be playing league because league will only worsen that. I know you feel that it's not fair for riot to treat everybody the same but do you think it's fair for others to go through constant harassment from players with mental issues? Overall if you have severe anger issues and you can't stop yourself from tearing a new Anus on your keyboard from all the toxicity then you probably need to quit league or just stick to ai bots.

Riot should just separate the two communities The Kiddos and Friendlies and The adults and Cursers

Would fix so many problems
