Loot privelage taken away because of power outage

I recently have had power outage due to the weather and have posted a forum on the bug for the 20 minute prequeue turning out to be well over an hour just to wait for a game. i went through my punishment on that even with the bug on the lpq making me wait well over an HOUR just before a game. this has happened two days in a row and now im ineligible to recieve loot. someone wanna tell me why im ineligible to recieve loot because of this and how long this will last. Extremely frustrated at these occurrences considering none of which was my fault, but yet im being punished on a multitude of levels.

In the 3rd game, you blame internet. If it was a power outage, how was your internet bad?

1.) Why did you keep playing, instead of waiting until your internet was good. 2.) How were you able to still type while the power was out? 3.) How was your internet able to function at all without power?

It's not like he bullies the players who post. He just points out where they were lying.

And 12 year olds should not be playing this game. At the very least the people posting should be at least 13, and a lot of the playerbase is much older than that. You're mistaking mental age for actual age.

My mistake, I thought you had been making a sarcastic claim about how what Tantram does is bad.

Regardless, my point stands. The purpose of the job is not to "shit on" people who lie about their punishments. It is simply to correct the record and ensure that Riot is not falsely portrayed to the public.

Additionally, it is dangerous to encourage a culture of got-em's. As much as we disapprove of the posters for lying about their punishments, they are still people with things they fear, love, or care about. They have favorite foods, they sleep and dream, they use the restroom. It becomes easy to forget that they are human and easy to treat them as less than that. Don't fall into that pattern.

I've been in conflict with suddenlink about the internet. As you may know, it is winter and there is snow outside in some places around the country. If you've ever experienced these things, you of all people should know... sometimes your power will go out and come back on. its quite a miracle to be honest. Some people arent that fortunate and their power will not come back on, in this case i was fortunate for my power to come back on. Now for the internet, yes it is a sad thing to have the company at your house 4 times in a month.. especially when they claim to have gotten it fixed. I've now been through 2 new modems and I'm on a new router with expectancy of maintenance man to come back here on Friday. They're claiming now it might be faulty wiring from the telephone poll to my house. With that being said, Internet was claimed to be fixed so of coarse i will attempt to play, but as said with faulty wiring my connection will be shot for a short period of time and then come back online like nothing ever happened.

That doesnt explain how you are online while having the power out. You cant have some of your power on and some off. Thats not how it works. You either have power or you dont, and according to Tantram, you seem to be playing well/active but just staying at the fountain harassing your teammates. You cannot be doing that if you had a power outage!

Originally from MN. Can confirm, never lost internet from snow. My hair used to also freeze completely solid while waiting for the bus. I've had eyelashes snap off. I know places that aren't used to snow can have issues.

If you suspect internet issues, try out the hextech repair tool:

If you are having issues, I'd suggest not playing until they are resolved.

I can however see that in the first AFK, you were upset at your team and said you were going to afk. You also wished that someone on your team would end up in the hospital. Those 3 games looked like a roller coaster of tilt. When that happens, even without internet problems, take some time off. No point in playing a game that is supposed to be fun if you're just getting angry about it. Having internet issues on top of that is going to most certainly create a frustrating experience for you, others, and you will additionally have to do with penalties that result.

truly hate to read about your cold adventures, we have all had them. Yes, I'm not denying the toxicity. Oddly enough, its fortunate that youve never experienced power issues. I'm not saying its caused by the snow, just saying conditions arent typical right now and things happen of such. It could have been caused by the snow, all i know is the power did go out and come back on as to what some would call a "flicker"

As i imagine you can see though, the power outage was during my zilean game, the two teemo games was because of internet. Also im sure you can note that the last teemo game we had a mf afk and bard that had to leave. trying to conclude the game so nobody would be under such punishment of afk, which led to trying to ff. So I recieve the punishment of no loot instead of chat ban or something ? seems acceptable. Please fix you're pre-queue bug aswell. Thank you.

If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it is probably a duck.

Next time you should think twice about threatening to AFK. If Riot investigates the game and sees that you were actually AFK after claiming you were going to go AFK.... then you really shouldn't be surprised if they conclude that you went AFK intentionally.

Please fix you're pre-queue bug aswell.

If you find a bug with the leaverBuster queue, plz make a video of it and link it for player support. Tell them to send it to the Player Behavior team. I've heard rumor of an elusive bug, but have been unable to repro it.

I've also encountered this bug while playing with a friend in low priority queue. We figured out that if the timer turned grey instead of red that we needed to just restart it rather than try to work with the current queue. ( We also figured out/knew that it was bugged when it displayed two different times for us even though we were in the same lobby. My clock would count up, and his would count down.) Sorry that I don't have a video for you. :c

And, I'm really loathe to invoke the Boards Universal Rules against something that up until now I haven't really bothered reporting, but, here goes;

The Golden Rule

Always be respectful to players, community members, moderators, and Rioters. Harassment and insults will not be tolerated (“just playing” is NOT a catch-all excuse).

For one, piggybacking "smites" by going "LOL REKT" or - worse in your case - making a sarcastic comment about the OP in a separate comment string - is again, very disrespectful, and it almost certainly turns what's normally a Rioter's elucidation on a player's problem into a game of virtual "throw apples at the guy in the stocks".

Spamming / Trolling

Here is a breakdown of the various types of spam / trolling that we look for:

Posting content not related to the discussion

Posting a discussion or comment across multiple sub-boards

Posting designed to bait conversation or falsify content

Making repetitive non-constructive or low effort content

Bumping of discussions with no additional context

Excessive emoji / icon spam

Necromancy of any discussion over 1 month old

Bolded and italicized the three common sins of the "smite" bandwagon.

Posting content not related to the discussion (all it is really is just screaming hype over someone 'getting told', which isn't related to the discussion at all.), making repetitive, non-constructive/low effort content (it takes literally nothing to say "LOL REKT" and, again, it adds nothing to the discussion.), and (in some cases, thankfully not your own, but it's still present on this post), excessive emoji/icon spam. (One summoner 11 alone is one too many on the PB boards, as it were.)

So, yeah. Really shouldn't be on that "smite" bandwagon, period. It's disrespectful, unnecessary, and it's generally against the rules. And since you chose to emulate the people doing it, you're going to have to do what I did when I first found out about report-calling being reportable and unnecessary: Un-learn it.

So, from here on out, I'm genuinely going to report anyone who takes it upon themselves to piggyback "smites". It doesn't belong on this board, and I absolutely agree with you: If I want to see change, I'm going to have to be it.

I mean, you do you man. But smiting has been around for years. Back when Riot Lyte worked for them. So I mean, you do you. But don't act like people enjoying watching a liar called and and telling them they got smited is all terrible. I'd say the boards are more tame now than they were back then. Back then you would see Lyte increasing the ban on some people just for being so awful.

That "x has been around for years" has never really been a valid reason to let a problem stay a problem. And, I'm not going to say that people enjoying watching liars get caught out is bad - I'm no saint in that regard either. But the whole "smite" business is just asinine, and it serves no purpose.

I don't really recall the time of Lyte, but I mostly kept away from the boards then. Things being more tame now doesn't mean there's not still room for improvement, though, and I personally want to see the whole "smite" bandwagon die down.

I mean, hell - there was even one point where people brought up trying to "smite-bait", where they make troll-posts feigning being banned to try and beckon out Tantram just so they could enjoy seeing "smites". Tantram brought the hammer down on that pretty damn quickly - but that that happened is enough to tell you it's a problem.

I had my power cut out be4 while opening chests and all my loot was saved. Im also curretly waiting on a new charger for my laptop, mine's unreliable and I dont want to have my team end up in a 4v5 because of me.
