no justice in league

I got banned for 14 days for being toxic. Heres what happened, because i do understand that i shouldn't have said half the things i did, but i also shouldn't have been banned.

Me and my friend duo a lot. So we get in lobby and im second pick. my friend is an ADC, im his supp. i pick him kalista, then lock. the pick below me gets talon. i then ask my friend in chat to grab me Alistair. the 3rd pick says we cant do this, and that if he would've known i was not going to adc, he would have taken it. But i had pick but he said he was going bot anyways. So we end up losing the game and i got banned for telling the kid off. Yes, talking trash is not the right thing to do, but now i cant play the game i love and spend money on while a guy who clearly trolled and was in the wrong gets to continue on, free from worry. I guess the only reason im putting this on here is because im pissed as hell. Trolls ruin this game and make it difficult to climb out of "elo hell". I wish riot would make more of an effort to look at what happens in game instead of just in the chat. But hey, who cares what i think. Everyone will keep playing league, and trolls will keep trolling. Riot doesn't care. They just wanna keep making all of that precious money. God bless and pray for my salt to go away boys.

The dude can play whatever he wanted, man. All you had to do was dodge, mute him, or play around him. Harassment is never justified, and you're responsible for your own actions. Maybe not what you want to hear, but it's the truth.

Are you saying you were trying to circumvent pick order by swapping with your friend? If someone ahead of your duo partner wants the same role, then you have no right to pick for him and swap to ensure you both get your roles regardless of pick order.

It sounds like you did a rather poor thing.

Next time, don't circumvent the pick order for your friend. Just because you are duo queue doesn't mean you immediately get bot lane. Say 'hey, I'm duoqueue, can we go bot'.

You shouldn't have done it, the third guy shouldn't have gotten so mad, you shouldn't have gotten mad back and ruined the game further.

Also, since you have a 14 day ban, you got 2 other punishments before that, so you've been steadily toxic for a while now. It wasn't this one game that got you banned, it was just the game to cement your punishment.

So while this may have been a bad situation, you've been toxic for a while now.

So when you come back, you mess up again and you are out entirely.

Toxic = eventual ban. Not much else to say.

did you communicate to the team that you wanted to duo bot prior to picking?

Sick to damn death of these "WOE IS ME, UNJUST BAN" threads. I'd rather when people come here to ask for community appeal that they post their chat logs like they used to so the entire board can see the ugly truth - you're toxic. You don't get a two week insta-suspension, this was an escalated punishment and you know it.

I don't understand, you recognize your wrongs, but don't think you should be punished for them? Please give details. Especially given that the last few sentences of your post seems to be a call for Riot to be MORE strict.

I am sympathetic to you in the following way : I can understand that this guy was being a moron and this was getting on your nerves. We are all aware people can be morons, particularly when they think they are anonymous and MOST PARTICULARLY in stressful situations such as video games.

But here is what I want you to consider. The way to punish this guy ISN'T to let him drag you down with him. It is NOT to yourself commit actions which you recognize yourself are reprehensible. If that is what you choose to do, the best you can hope for is a draw (both of you get punished). The ONLY way you can win against this guy is by 1. Not letting him stop you from having fun that game 2. Reporting his behavior after the game.

As much as I understand the impulse to just tell someone they're a moron, you have to remember that
                     a. You're putting yourself in a position where if someone reports you, you're in trouble
                     b. He either doesn't give a shit, or wouldn't understand what you're trying to say anyways.

Here are a few of the things that I like to say when I meet one of "those" players: "What a nice fellow" "What a strange fellow" (this is for feeders) "I'm sure deep down you're really very nice" "I wonder what this button does""Hey I haven't heard from (insert name) in a while" "I've got some social tips for you after the game if you're interested"

Then at the end of course, I report them and I move on to the next game, where in all likelihood everyone will be top notch gentlemen. Works every time.

Picking to trade wasn't the problem. Arranging picks in friend chat only goes so far, since you have to consider bans and what the opposing team picks.

The OP wanted to make sure his buddy got his pick. Ok. But I suspect even if he hadn't asked, the other guy would have started complaining as soon as the trade started. Because he didn't get what he wanted.

The problem, for the OP, came when he allowed himself to get baited into arguing.
